yea his solo stuff rocks as well. the "rise" album has a few gems on it. if you have not listened to that album you should give it a listen well worth taking the time for trust me. "death of me" is great would be a classic if recorded back in the day. "all amped up" is a rocker ."hype" is another rocker few more gems as well. cheers and peace. actually gonna go listen to it now been a few months

Hearing Tom's voice crack when talking about the support Jeff gave him during Tom's voice problems, tells you how much Jeff meant to him. Addiction sucks, I was lucky to find a doctor who helped clean me up with my wife supporting me. It's a disease that some say is weakness, well I have cancer now both could kill me yet no one says my cancer is a weakness. If you know someone suffering from addiction don't give up on them. A great person is under there trying to get back out to you.

There is a live video of Cinderella performing 'Coming Home' , a bit of the footage at 1:41 is from it. When Jeff does his solo , his does it with such style & finesse, then flips the pick out to the audience and tips his hat as a 'Thank You', - one of the most ROCKSTAR moves I've ever seen. I grew up in the same towns Jeff did and we crossed paths a few times. We didnt know each other at all. He was about 3-4 years older than me. He was always in great bands in the Philadelphia area. One band was called Precious Metal. I would always say hello and he was ALWAYS very nice to us younger kids. One night me and a buddy went to see Motorhead, Mercyful Fate and Exciter. We were 15. We needed a ride home from the venue and Jeff gave us a ride home. We knew him as the guitar player from P.Metal and he would deliver chinese food for gas money and he would show up once in awhile when we ordered. He was a friggin cool guy. His solo album is sooooo good and heavy. R.I.P. JEFF

This comes a bit full-circle for me. My first-ever concert was Cinderella with Winger and BulletBoys on April 21, 1989 at Hampton Coliseum; I was 15, and my brother took me. I’m a lifelong Ghostbusters fan, and while I adore all four of the boys, Harold Ramis is far and away my absolute fave; to hear Tom mention Caddyshack as one of he and Jeff’s favorite films that they would quote from makes me insanely happy. Rest easy, Jeff-I pray that you are finally at peace, and that you get to meet and shake hands with Harold. 🙏🏻♥️

April 27th, 2013. My buddies and I go down to Keokuk Iowa to golf. We've been doing it now for 20+ years. One night, we walk into our usual supper hangout called the Cellar for their Prime Rib special. Walked in and saw group of "rockers". I saw Jeff right away but didn't recognize him. Thought he looked like a mini, weathered Vince Neal. We sat and ordered. My buddy, who's in his mid 40s (and into 80s metal like me) was facing their table. He said to me, "Hey ...that's Jeff Labar". I turned around, looked and said, "The Vince Neal wannabe? Hell no". We continued to eat. But my buddy didn't give up. He kept on looking at their table. He finally gets up and goes over as they were leaving. I turned around and looked. I could read my buddy's lip as he said, "Are you Jeff Labar". The man nodded. They shook hands and talked. I was wrong. So I go over and talked to Jeff and got a picture. A tall blonde guy in their group says to us, "Hey...we're playing down the road later on tonight. You guys should come and check it out". That man was no other than Eric Brittinham. So later on, we did go and watch their acoustic set. $10 dollars and stood literally 7ft away from the band. It was Labar and Brittinham along with another singer. They played some acoustic Cinderella. What a great time. And the memories of meeting him at such an odd place is something I'll never forget.

I met Jeff back in 1990 or 91 at Thoroughbred Music in Tampa Florida. He was the sweetest guy. What I "Think" I remember the most was how never endingly thankful he was of Tom Keifer for choosing him as his guitarist. Jeff said something to the effect that he had auditioned fairly early on and Tom kept auditioning other players and finally circled back to Jeff for different reasons but, if my memory serves, Jeff never tried to out play Tom. It was a chemistry thing. Tom, sir, if I've got this wrong ,there are a lot Jack and Cokes between then and now! Cheers!

I've always been a true Cinderella fan and got to see them live with Winger, I was late to the show and missed the Bullet Boys opening, all 3 bands toured together that year.....Cinderella was for sure part of the hair band metal era but they were very unique with their style and sound. Guitar work wasn't typical at all, Tom using a plastic finger slide and adding some twang in the sound was definitely not the norm. Hoping to catch Tom live at some point soon.

Tom is a legend… I have the utmost respect for him, I mean, hell, that woulda been so scary to experience partial paresis mid show but, Carl Thomas Keifer has proved to us he’s a fighter. He is also a top-notch guitarist - I dug his playing style a heap more once I viewed that @Loudwire vid. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer “Still Climbing” to “Heartbreak station” but no Cinderella track resonated more instantly with me in the manner “The road’s still long” and “Coming home” have done.

now he's gone and he really misses him. after all the years without talking or to each other, this happens when band members don't bury the hatchet and after all is said and done they get all emotional. whatever happened to real friends just, not being at war and all that dumb shit
