Those "extras" in the background were actually from the local chapter of the Black Panther Party in LA! (Tom gettin' them to co-sign is wild!) Peace. #HOG

Great reaction. Tom was showing HIS understanding of the reasons why the mindset of a portion of Black Americans feel & think the way they do. In my opinion he was also attempting to bring awareness to a portion of White Americans to the same thing. Understanding others beliefs, background & where each others mindsets came from or are rooted in, opens dialogue & hopefully promotes unity among all.

When Tom wants to say something he doesn't consider the consequences. Tom's distributer wouldn't put this out so he changed distributors, Tom got hate from both extremes but he still put it out. Tom and Nova were living in an all black neighbourhood in South Central LA, so he knew the general attitude of his neighbours, before Tom put out the track he played it to the local Black Panthers chapter, they liked it and and asked if some of them could appear in the music video. #HOG UK

Great presentation sir, very good commentary. I've always felt that most of the tensions involving ethnicity, nationality, or any other trait an individual possesses are the results of that individual being manipulated away from their own common sense and critical thinking. Whether it's mainstream media, social media, friends, family, the "popular opinion," or any other influence... It can be trying, lonely, and even painful to stand for what you know is right or good. Living with any semblance of honor and integrity isn't easy. Understanding follows open dialogue, and an open dialogue requires an open mind. Most everyone outside of third world and communist countries are oppressed by their own Egos more than by individuals, groups, or prominent elite entities. There isn't always an easy way. There won't always be comfort. To expect either, or both, to exist as any kind of standard is detrimental to the natural human condition.

I'm as pale as the Moon on a cloudless night, and would have a super itchy trigger finger if I ever met a Klansman, too. How are those wretched goons still a thing? Anyway, there's such a "White guilt" power fantasy woven in Tom's lyrics here. When I studied Black History in Highschool and found out about Emmett Till I wanted to get revenge and felt a shame you wouldn't believe. I hadn't done anything wrong but just seeing my reflection for the next few days was awful. Possibly too young for such a lesson, but I couldn't get those images out of my head. Rest In Eternal Paradise Emmett.🕯️ Sorry things got serious 💖

Why would you shoot a Klansman if you saw them? Are they attempting to kill someone? You doing it in defense of another or yourself or you doing it out of hatred? That would make you a plain and simple murderer if done out of hatred. You may not agree, but they have the right to free speech a just as Black Supremacists do. There is no difference in the speech both groups speak, only their skin colour. Would you have the same visceral reaction to a Black Supremacist? If not, maybe think about it for a while.

You could do with listening to some Thomas Sowell and others instead of referencing the CRT taught to you in school (indoctrination).

That's the problem @Cyborganna You studied BLACK history, NOT HISTORY..... THAT'S THE START OF THE PROBLEM RIGHT THERE, INSTANTLY RACIALISING HISTORY, FOR LITERALLY ONLY ONE GROUP OF PPL. that's racist, straight off. Why isn't it just HISTORY, why the separation?? Apart from to only get one side??

@@renagenic Nice try, the class was supplemental to the main syllabus and held after hours. You had to put your name down and volunteer. I like to hear all sides and formulate my own opinions. That's how I felt at between 14-15 years of age back in 94-1995 when I took the class. There was zero CRT rhetoric in the lessons, just facts that are still true today. Carolyn Bryant Donham admitted She lied. And f**k the Klan forever. Those things are both true.

It's the soft bigotry of low expectations that keeps people down. Victim culture is the worst thing for anyone to be part of. Loving yourself and understanding who you are is key to success and telling people they're being held down by unspoken, unwritten rules, directly removes their sense of autonomy. Making it impossible for people to love themselves and polluting their understanding of themselves with fear. Constantly thinking about the hurdles isn't going to make you jump higher.

Great reaction. Tom tried to imagine how he would feel and think if HE was black. As a guy who lived in the hood and loved rap, he thought this was how he would feel (not how he actually feels as a white guy). Sorry, I'm probably not explaining this very well. Anyways... You are from the UK? Do you know Kid Bookie? Could you check him out? I recommend "Stuck In My Ways" ft Corey Taylor from Slipknot (there's a music video for it). Greetings from Germany

3:40 it's great to hear that is how you see it, as that's far better than the opposite. But don't forget bruv, YOU EVEN questioned, whether your DAY 1's were racist, when they DIDN'T, post a BLACK SQUARE for BLM.......... No one grows up without being a child, just don't forget you were childish too once, we all were. So, yeah, just remember that it can happen to anyone, especially if l they only really listens to the HEADLINES/MSM talking points.... And believes them. e.g.- BLM being a non-profit charity, somehow linked to George Floyd and the case against the officers. Whereas, it was actually proved to be, basically a complete scam. they had nothing to do with the GF case, legally, even though it was their main media talking point, screaming "say his name" while they were stealing the money that was being donated, buying themselves and their own families mansions... In gated communities, while saying BEFORE, that the rich POC people who lived in those community's "didn't support the cause" or "were uncle Tom's" and "not really black" and many other, pretty terrible statements..
