I'm also 66. When I was 5 my grandmother warned us kids that if she ever heard one of us use the N word that we would be in huge trouble with her. At that time there were riots and marches for civil rights going on and we also entered a really deep and dangerous era of the cold war with the Soviets and Viet Nam was ramping up. I know Tom. I absolutely love “you vs me” and “you missed” he’s not only a talented artist, he really gets it and he states the truth so plainly you can’t deny it. You missed gave me chills the first 15 times I listened to it.

Yo yo... Old American woman here... Absolutely love Tom MacDonald own all his CD's... I live in the hood, Y-town- but I'm white (if it matters).... I always say the best thing 2020 did for me was give me time to discover all these truth bombing artists... Tom MacDonald, Trump Latino's, and Outlaw Nation (Nu breed and Jesse Howard- they both have solo pasts and started as collaborative and then formed outlaw Nation) are my top 3... I think Toms greatest accomplishment is writing "You Missed" the evening of July 13 and producing a video and launched in less than 24hrs. Tom should be an icon and I'm glad the black community is here seeing his work.. we are 1 people- Americans. Although I'm white, I am only here because my great grandparents were indentured servants (Irish white slaves)... We have more in common than most realize ... The one thing I can say is everything is better when we come together - think about music dance food- what would it be without branching out and bringing styles together even our babies. I've always said the most beautiful people are bi racial another instance of us coming together and making something beautiful.. much ❤ ✌️

35 year old, a Texas southerner since birth, I’ve never been raised to value or judge someone by the color of their skin, I was raised to never judge, as it’s not my place, and to measure a person’s value based on their moral compass. It gives me hope, hearing one of yall, not sure of the gentleman’s name, that said something to the effect of WE AS A NATION need to come together inside of being either on the left or right.
