Ive always seen myself as nothing but human, but I'm Hispanic, so I've been called all sorts of things for even suggesting that we had to listen to the other side. I've lost friends and family members who couldn't see beyond their own party, suggesting that I was on the wrong side, an Uncle Tom, and trader to my own race. So frustrating! @@rhuttrho888 I have family members who were discriminated because of the color of their skin. I had opportunities in my generation that they never got. I'm grateful for that. I thought we had come to a place in America where we could finally see ourselves as equals. Then came the Obama years, and I saw a flip in the narrative where white people became oppressors, all cops were bad, and this country was an imperialist regime, while simultaneously overlooking human slave trade still happening in other countries, blatant corruption with law enforcement in places like Mexico, and the fact that every world power had subjugated others in the past, and they still live under actual totalitarian regimes. It seems we are going in reverse. Today, white people are blamed for something they never did in their generation, kids are shamed for their whiteness, and it's going to foments a spirit of resentment and division that will possibly take us back to the way we were before, leading to another civil war. My soul actually hurts that there is no peace.

Here's something my years have produced: I was almost 20 when I became born-again and was in college. My least favorite verse was "Count it all joy when you encounter various trials...", because college is rife with challenges. But now I see the trials as opportunities for great gain when we handle them biblically. These "opportunities" land on our plate, we don't provide them for ourselves so they are sort of kindnesses that can bring benefits like wisdom, insights, examples to share for encouragement. Never have I ever seen an artist so talented and with such organic reach, be so ignored by the gatekeepers of the cultural institutions. I'm sure that's just a coincidence and cannot possibly be the result of a system desperately trying to work out how to deal with someone like this. Keep doing your thing man. I hope your name goes down in history with the other iconic figures who fought to bring liberty to the people. Love from the UK 🇬🇧

As a musician and songwriter, I have to say that you have a way with words that Noone else in this age can even come close to touching. We have 3 minutes to change a life. 3 minutes to help someone through some trial they may be facing. And every damn time your music hits my spotify Playlist my day is completely turned around. I have to say bro, well done. Not only with this one, but literally, every single one.

If been writing music on and off for about a decade. I've had tons of people compliment my writing and tell me to actually go further then just writing. But I must agree. Of course anyone is gonna understand he's lyrically amazing. But for those of us who write rap and know bar structures and rythme schemes. It's even more impressive and it leads one to push themselves to match his talent

Excellent job. Tom is on a watch list and we know he's over the target. We need more artists that care about our future.

we will never be equal in *EVERY WAY* - that part is important in his massage. Just poiting out before some extremist calls you out or Tom for being misogynists, lol. Tho, that'd happen either way.

We need each other to remain balanced. Especially when the task of raising children to become well adjusted productive adults is part of personal situations.

100% equality would eliminate compassion in humanity. When everyone is equal, you'd no longer feel the need for others and they'd no longer feel the need for you.

I was called names all through school, picked on and bullied. Wish I'd have had something like this to help deal with it back in the 50's and 60's. All behind me now. Love Tom's music and message.

"I'm somewhere in the middle but y'all don't know what to do with that" So powerful. Society loves to label you from the day your born but only you can choose who you are. I love that the labels don't mean anything once you forget or embrace them, so meaningful

I think there would be more people in the middle of they weren't looking to fit into one group or the other. The two party system is the worst.
