I was one of those people, that hated rap. I'm 64, had several kids, the drove me crazy with it. 25-30 yrs ago, the lyrics, were terrible. Killing, drugs, rape and on and on. Don't even know how I came across this young man. I like what he says. Still don't understand all the words he says, but I'm old and my ears are slow, I'll get there. From Tom, I heard Madchild and then Dax, like them too, but they are way to fast, still. My excercises, during quarantine 1 keep up with the head Bob's and shoulder rolls, of people keeping up with them. 2 try to sing along and keep up, great excercises for the lungs, except if you pass out from lack of O2. Glad I expanded my horizons.

Lots of props for the work you put in for your channel off air, reading those bars was going the extra mile, which there are a lot of subs from what I can see are appreciative, good call. Speaking of the subs... they're calling for more Tom Macdonald, this might be a great witnessing opportunity for all the Tom followers coming to your channel.....perhaps, oh by the way, I've seen this video on other reaction channels, but there is something to be said for watching a truther artist's effect on a reaction channel, it isn't like the response from an artist not talking about anything that everyday folk can relate to.

WOW! Tom MacDonald!!! Ty you stretching your boundaries tonight!!! I like it, I like it. I'm wondering if you will tho lol!! This guy's emmensly talented but he's not for everyone!

👍🙂👍 I must respectfully disagree (just my opinion) about the 'not for everyone' part, I personally believe (coming from an almost, like next yr, 50 yr old Grandma, 😁) he is most definitely for everyone, unfortunately the drama club patrons and the negative Nancy's groups (everyday meetings for any interested) will never allow themselves to be happy enough to fully listen and appreciate him, but that is just this old Lady's opinion, 😏👍😁

I am an old head that never listened to rap until a little over a year ago when I heard Tom MacDonald. There was someone saying something to expose the industry of guns, and drugs, and ho's. He is doing his best to make young people think about society rather than bling. Since then I have been exploring a few rappers. If you haven't heard Bizzle doing Devil's Work Response to Joyner Lucas, I highly recommend it. Man, he sets God on high.

I'm not too keen on rap, but if it has a good flow, and meaningful lyrics (as well as being able to be understood), I'll listen. Loved the song! I loathe political correctness, it is just a polite means of lying, or deception with manners. It's a means of controlling people by what they say and think. I'm all for freedom of speech, even if that speech is ugly.

Tom has some controversial topics but his lyrics are truth even tho they might sting to hear said. He has some songs where his rap is a little faster but it is still clear and understandable, not mumbles, and he has great flow & cadence with awesome beats. You would like his messages. He is not nor will he ever sign on a mainstream label because he doesnt want his songs dictated and censored by a big CEO. Keep your mind open and listen to some more of his stuff, it's awesome!! He hits on drug use & abuse and how its being glorified, racisim and how one race shouldnt all be lumped together, etc. I usually turn off mainstream rap bc it doesnt have substance really but I was glad I gave Tom's lyrics a shot way back when and Im continually amazed by the real facts he speaks. Give it a listen, I am betting you will like it. But def go listen to the older stuff first as they don't exactly follow a exact order but if you listen to the newest stuff first you might be confused as some touch on topics & responses he received to previous songs.

I've listened to most of Tom's stuff, I think he's like the new folk singer. His music has a message behind it for today's society, a story of how people are feeling with culture at this time. Some don't get the message but it's how he views the world around him, and that's okay with me. It's his life story and opinion on how he views it. We all walk a path in life and chose the roads we travel, it's what mmakes us who we are. After all there is only 1 true judge and he will judge me when I'm done here. God bless.

I always listen to the lyrics (if you can understand them that is). I've always listened to songs that might have a positive impact on my life. I also listened to songs just because they were fun. The trouble is, I guess, I've gotten so old that I don't know when someone is talking ironically, or seriously. For instance, he says "y'all should keep it to yourselves" now is he for suppression of thoughts, and therefore is he a hypocrite, or is he talking ironically, or is he repeating what he has heard others say??? Part of his message I heard, and it rings true, but then... Whether it's RAP or any other form isn't that important to me. I like creativity, I like originality, and I like moving words, it helps if all three can come together in a catchy beat.

Thank you for keeping your mind open. I have the same feeling in not caring about rap for the most part but Tom's not a "mumble rapper" and his words are always clear. Go listen to some of his older songs and he will blow you away; some things sting and are hard to hear but at the end of the say it is truth behind those lyrics. He hits on racisim, drug use & abuse, glorifying the wrong things like the drugs & violence spoken of in a majority of current rap, etc. I promise it won't be a waste of time. It is sad that for most of what he says you will never hear on a mainstream radio station bc those big labels control what a artist says, does, looks like, etc and it's so much of the reason he is a "KZbin rapper" bc he will never sell out and change who he is so as a independent artist his music will never be on today's no controversial topics, pc-only mainstream radio stations.
