He went from “I built this fucking house” to “WE built this fucking house.” The people “emptying the clip” are his fans. The clip being a metaphor for bullets representing words. WE spray down the enemies with words in defense of Tom. Us taking apart the skins and connecting it with needles and pins is us taking that negative energy and making it positive, representing the negative that exists in Tom’s life and making it something worth fighting for. He paints an imagery that is UTTERLY insane. And by “judging an engine by its paint job,” he could mean the paint, as in exterior, or skin color. Society judges us by skin color, whether you’re black, white, or whatever. Instead of judging our engine, or our heart, or character therefore, they judge us by our skin color. He ended it with this song. Great reaction.

Tom needed to do it for him and the #hangovergang. I think he needed to allow himself to believe that his intentions were genuine. Also, he told us that he was not giving up. Tom and I suffer from the same disease. We have clinical depression, of which severe anxiety is a symptom. We deal with so many emotions constantly it's overwhelming. There are no words to describe it. I love your reactions. They are well thought out and genuine. #hangovergang

I just found you today thru your White Boy reaction and I love what you have said in both. I absolutely love your comments about not needing to explain yourself to the haters and when you do they have somewhat won.. I’ve dealt lately with racism especially this month because the month of April is Scottish heritage month and because I’ve been wearing my tartan sash a few idiots called me a racist white honkey because I’m wearing a symbol of hate. Excuse me? I ended up explaining what that a tartan tells another Scot which Clan I come from and that Scots are the least racist as our ancestors suffered atrocities at the hands of the red coats. Then tried to explain that our Scottish ancestors who emigrated here in the 18th century fought alongside all races and creeds, in fact there’s several famous Scottish men in history who became famous chiefs of different Native American tribes and because of those Scottish chieftains those natives didn’t suffer the way their brothers and sisters did. Many Scots here took part in the Underground Railroad etc. That’s when I lost that discussion because I tried to teach and explain to those who don’t want to learn they just want to be ignorant. I didn’t need to defend my race but I did and I learned a valuable lesson that I don’t need to explain myself or prove myself to anyone! It was hard hearing someone say they think I’m racist when none of my family on either side had slaves. But you’re correct I shouldn’t have to explain anything those people who matter to me are going to be like me they’d rather build a bridge rather than blow it up! I’m glad you want to expand your horizons with music or bands you’ve never heard of so here’s my suggestion as a new subscriber, Home Free is an a cappella group that is mostly country but can literally sing anything and they sometimes are judged before a person listens to how good they are just because they call themselves country artists. They did an amazing cover of End of the Road by Boyz II Men but because they’re white and mostly from the southern states people think they’ll blow the song but in fact most people hear their cover and think it’s better than B2M! They also did a MIND BLOWING cover of Man of Constant Sorrow from the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou, and yes the beatboxer is the harmonica he doesn’t use one! Adam Rupp is a freak of nature with his beatbox skills! Please react to them you’re not gonna believe what you hear! ❤️

I meant to comment this on your White Boy response, sorry!! But I think it would behoove reactors (& I've only seen ONE do it) to watch the video T....M...White Boy "behind the scenes" or "before the shoot"...(can't remember which it is but if u just search T...M...White Boy, you will see it in the search result.) It's a video of Tom explaining to the group of actors in the classroom what the video & song are about & why he wrote it. He then played the song for them, then asked if anyone had any questions & told them that if the song was offensive to anyone to feel free to leave & he would understand. Then he answered a couple questions from the actors. I'm SO glad that I saw that video before I heard/saw the song/video. But I highly recommend that everyone watch that, no matter how far down the rabbit hole everyone already is, & regardless of whether you've seen White Boy. It gave me some good insight into Tom & into his music that I wouldn't otherwise have. And...it helps one understand the video & it's setting better as well. Another great reaction on this video too!
