Oh yes the busking videos of Ren and Big Push. IF this doesn't Cement to anyone that He is way over talented. They do a great version of War Pigs also.

I honestly believe that Ren is a once-in-a-lifetime artist. In my 43 years on this Earth I have yet to experience anything like this. I honestly don't believe that I will ever experience another artist like this in my lifetime. Ren is different. It's not just his musical talent but it's also the type of person that he is that makes this that much more special. He is the type of human that I want my children to grow up to be like. He's a reminder to all of us on how to be better. I'm here for all of your REnACTIONS!

They also did a version of "Wade In The Water"... Ren LOVES Nina Simone. And their performance of their original "Watch Out" (the one with 1.3 million views) shows a breathtaking connection with their audience. All these Brighton kids...
@PoliticallyPink Жыл бұрын
This whole band is outrageously talented, and vibe groovy. Can you imagine walking down the street and bumping into this performance?? I'm so envious! This whole performance is great! In order: "Watch Out," then this one, next is "War Pigs," then "Paint it Black."
@mldkenny Жыл бұрын
Your Ren intro is so on song it's perfect, the problem is there are so many other brilliant tracks still to do, honestly 200!!!! I have so many favourites it's pointless listening them all, but " One Dance/Drunk in Love " Live in Brighton with Chinchilla is so raw its touching. And when you want uplifting " Bongo Bong " The Big Push " I'm so enjoying your channel , it is just wonderful when a new reactor appreciates a true Genius at work. Romain, Glenn and Gorran are all so brilliant as well , two with some great tracks as well. Romain latest single is awesome. Finally " Fingers Live for Hunger TV " by Chinchilla is OFF the vocal scale.

i agree with you on all points! Great reaction! I've been involved with music since the 1960's and have played with, listened to, and seen a lot of bands--and THIS is one of my all-time favorite live performances: a journey through the blues, reggae, ska, hip-hop and punk, poking at all of our emotions, sometimes all at once. I haven't been this excited and interested in an artist/band as I have been with Ren, The Big Push and all of his collaborators in a long time. Subbed! 🤠

Their harmony is fabulous too. Praise You, Swan Song, English man in New York, Bongo Bong. The Lockdown videos have some of their own songs which are very good too, Radio is my current favourite.

Oh yes, you are falling down the Ren rabbit hole and it's a deep, deep hole. You like his story telling and the way he paints a picture. May I suggest, Money Game 1 and 2. Part 3 comes out soon along with his new album, Sick Boi. His catalog goes back over 10 years if you count his time with his band Trick The Fox. His song Blind Eyed with Sam Tompkins is great. There are a couple of version of it. To get the studio version, The MC session is best then followed by Blind Eyed ft. car park attendant (this one will make you giggle). I think a song that will also resonate with you is Crutch ft. Bibi. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Thank you so much for reacting to Ren! Much love to you! Renegades unite :)

The Big Push has seval original songs as well....Dignity, Precious, Watch Out, Swan song, only a few. Romain Axisa is the mad french guitarist. He is dropping his own album in November. This performance gets better the more I hear it. It is easy to think that the modern music industry is dead. It isn't. I listen to a couple of great live bands. Clutch and The Tedeschi Trucks Band. The cream rises, but Ren is incredibly important, on top of that. He is trailblazing for independent artists, and he is bringing other talented artists with him. I hope we can see the independents become "the industry", and support new talent. Become a meritocracy. Consign the manipulators and leeches, the self-declared gatekeepers, to the scrap heap. It's time for the artistes to be in control, and save music.

The Big Push busked on the streets of Brighton & made videos for 5 years. They became so popular that they would announce their next performance on social media & the cops would come & barricade off the street because many hundreds of people would show up. It ended when Ren went to Canada for treatment for his Lyme disease. Ren also did some busking with Sam Tompkins - my fav is "Improvising Around Stevie Wonder". I look forward to watching you discover all of it.

Not sure how today’s music bullshit will accept Ren but he’s clearly proven himself to be worthy of crazy recognition.

Love your Ren journey so far. I'm glad you got to see another side of Ren here that isn't so serious. He's got a number of more upbeat songs ("Humble," "Ocean," "Power," etc.), but I think you should check out "Illest of Our Time," which doubles as a braggadocious rapper and the very personal side of still being very sick [peep lyrics during last part, which understandably goes over many heads on a first listen]. On your dive into Ren, I'd suggest trying to simply be inspired, and not compare your personal journies. Ren's truly one-of-a-kind. Few people who are bedridden for 23 hours a day would spend that time reading, philosophizing, writing and practicing music. He's a rare gem, and your life is just as unique and important - look at all the thousands of people interested in what you have to say next. 💛

Oh, I recognize a Renegade in the making! How many times have you watched Hi Ren and Jenny & Screech? LOL Warning ahead, turn around now if you're not prepared for a bit of an addiction...many of us can't stop watching! The guitarist is Romain Axisa and he's actively releasing new music right now. Sorry if someone else has already mentioned him. The bass player is Gorran Kendall and he mostly does folk music when he's solo. I don't actually know the drummer's name or what, if any, solo music he has going. Loved watching you have fun with this one! It shows off many talents of many people, so I think it's a great showcase. And the vibe of the crowd is so much fun!

You're so right, I stumbled upon Ren in April, so glad I did. For an old rocker like me, thought I'd seen it all, I was so wrong. These busking videos apparently, was Ren/The Big Push's first coming, several years ago, I wish I was part of that, I would so love to be in that crowd, walking through Brighton a few months ago, I stumbled on the exact place they were playing in this video. empty but I imagined all his busks there, got goosebumps! It's never too late to start your Ren journey!
