Stunningly beautiful layout! Watching the 173 come towards you is so incredibly realistic, I almost thought that it was the actual, full-sized locomotive! This railroad is breathtaking in scale, detail, and absolute attention to a nostalgic period of America's history in transportation! And the ships.... amazing! Especially R.M.S. Titanic!

F scale is an NMRA nomenclature for Garden Scale.

@@lynnmiller8919 Thanks. I thought it looked like Garden Scale but wasn't sure as I've never heard it called that before. Makes me sorry that I sold all my "G Scale" trains!

This layout is fantastic, I would love to visit but They'd have to call the Sheriff's Dept to peel me away from the place. Hopefully I start my Fn3 elevated garden railway within the next year or so. I'll have a nice big corner of the 2 acres to play with in the high desert. Going live steam/Battery and the only power will be for an air pump for pneumatics, a small water pump for the creek, and some LED lighting all from batteries charged off a couple 245w panels in the Arizona sun. Trying to avoid trenching in power from the DMARC, maybe my little Honda 2000 genny as a back up. Learned a lot about solar and batteries after living aboard a sailboat for the last 7 ½ years.

Why can't people just enjoy the wonderful railroad that was built rather than making snide remarks about the gentleman that owns it?

there is a separate DVD for that

Andy Keeney Because people are really, really STUPID. People today are totally incapable of just enjoying something for what it is, and if they don’t like something they feel it’s Mandatory to tell you what they don’t like. I see things all the time that I don’t particularly like, and I keep it to myself! My grandma told me once, if you don’t have anything positive to say, don’t say anything.

This guy has to be a millionaire. To build all of this on your own would cost and arm and a leg with money and time but the fact he hired folks to help in certain areas only multiplied those costs! What an utterly fantastic display of workmanship and creativity!

And Im from your future, 2024. Beware, the world has gone down the crapper. Things cost much more today than just 8 years ago so finish your railroads while you still can. 😂@@brandoncena5209

Amazing! My Dad would love to see this in person and from Oregon, but we now live in California. Dad is ill now, but loves model trains, always wanting to build one, but unfortunately was never able to accomplish this. Is this layout open to view or how might I arrange a way for Dad to see this beautiful layout? Thanks for posting it!

interesting....had to look up F-scale
@tedansley7 жыл бұрын
F scale is essentially G scale. LGB, and some others' G scale, is 1:22.5. F scale is 1:20.3. Unless you are a train expert you'll have a hard time telling the difference. Other G scale manufacturers use 1:24 scale. Other Large scales use 1:29 and 1:32, sometimes also called 1 gauge. They all use 1 gauge track, which is 45 mm wide. I own some of all of these scales, except for 1:32. I don't mind mixing them but 1:29 usually doesn't look good with 1:20.3. They are ALL essentially "Large" scale, and many people just interchange G scale, but technically using "G" is not always right.
