Back in my highschool years I was at the boarding school, and in my last year I was thinking "those are the best years of my life". My roommate used to put music to wake us up on the morning, and we changed the compil every month. So the last month of the last year, he decided to put this song, and every day I was waking up to this beautiful sound. 3 years later, I still listen to it on the morning, and I remember how life was good those days. Take care of yourself, enjoy moments as simple as the one I just told you about, and listen to music. Great life. EDIT : Thx to all of the people who responded here since I posted the comment, it's kind of incredible to see that I can share with so many people with words and that we can feel the same about this song, even if we live in different places of the world... I wanted to mention that I asked a few month ago to my former roommate if he still listened to this song in the morning, and guess what, after 5 years, he still does, like me !!! Anyway, after a long time of being in different places in France for university, we now both live in Paris and we see each other very often, life is still as good as it was before ;)

Its beautiful that you had such a great time and your roommates sound amazing. But don't limit your life's potential to beliefs like that please you are soo young. There is no thing such as the "best years" of a life. You can have the most wonderful life and feel and enjoy it so very deeply. Much love (by the way, the 20's seem and feel and are quite rough sometimes but just keep going, everything will turn out just as it was meant to be)

This is such a beautiful music piece and a beautiful interpretation. It conveys so many emotions at the same time: A mix of melancholia and sadness, but also a subtle touch of nostalgia and... hope. It feels like the notes remind me of a distant past, where everything was ok, no matter the situation, no matter the sadness, a time where everything felt floating, light, and soft. Like if I were on a distant cloud, observing from afar, and just contemplating without doubt or anxiety all the events that took place all around me. A nostalgia for a distant past that I didn't even experience, and that probably didn't happen. Thank you so much to both the musicians for this incredible experience.

This song was one of the very first songs I learned on guitar 6 years ago, and I haven't heard or played this in about 5 years. Today I randomly grabbed my guitar and started jamming and somehow remembered the melody to this song, so I pulled it up on KZbin and started playing along with Tom to see how much I've improved. I legit started uncontrollably sobbing while playing. It's safe to say that life hasn't been the kindest to me in those previous 6 years, but this song reminded me that no matter how hard life seems at the moment, we will eventually make it out of the big dark blue. To whoever's reading this, please stay strong knowing that whatever you're going through now WILL make you stronger, not weaker. Things will get better. I'm sending you lots of love and positive energy.
