He’s constantly gaslighting her and subtly controlling her to get her to solely depend on him in the long term. Every time Belle has brought up something Tom’s done/said he’s gaslighted her into thinking he didn’t. Just like he said she “offered” to talk to Angelica when in actual fact he told Belle that he’d already told Jimmy and Nicola that Belle would talk to Angelica

Also the difference in this situation is that Tom put Belle in this situation purely to make her feel uncomfortable and control and isolate her. Belle was only looking out for Tom back then, whereas Tom is only looking out for himself and what he can take from Belle. Very good writing atm

Most of Emmerdale is absolute rubbish these days except the Belle-Tom story line! Bellle - fabulous actress, I think I’d give up on Emmerdale if it wasn’t for her and a couple of other people who can actually act. As for the rest - I just give up, and the story lines are just awful. Belle, you are rescuing Emmerdale right now.
