We had the opportunity to sit down with the mighty Tom Quayle (virtually) to talk to him all about his brand new Ibanez signature model.
When Ibanez make a signature model they don't mess around. By blending a stripped back natural look with high end features, we get Tom Quayle's instrument of choice. For anyone unfamiliar with Tom's playing, his original and influential fusion legato style is very special indeed. Delivering numerous masterclasses to eager-to-learn musicians and with performances taking him across many continents, he needed a guitar that would allow him to play at his best. Packed full of high end components and quality wood choices, this model is reliable, versatile and just downright enjoyable to play.
Just take a look at that Monkeypod Top! This certainly isn't something that you see every day! The grain of this wood looks extremely elegant and adds a level of class that a colour finish just couldn't match. It adds to the overall natural aesthetic of the guitar and also pairs nicely with the alder body.
An HSS configuration of Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups give a balanced and expressive range of sounds that cover pretty much all musical bases, thanks to the additional of the Alter Switch. This custom switching system allows several further options of sound variations for even more versatility. Perfect for a guitarist as diverse as Tom, whose playing takes him all the way from jazz through to rock.

Thank you for the very good video. I bought this guitar in late 2020, and I can tell you that I am totally satisfied. I've so many guitars (Ibanez JS , Jem , Fender Strat... )and This is my most versatile
