I am probably THE most unexpected fan of anything even remotely close to rap music, my background, my age, my heritage, ethnicity, would be a juxtaposition. Yet here I am. A 63 yo female, Mexican born. I've heard many of Tom's, I can't bring myself to call them songs. Music in any form, written word or simply melody, are messages, and we all receive them and process them differently, through, and according to our individually formed life experience filters. Tom's words resonate with many experiences I've lived through, and witnessed, and all the emotions revealed by them within me, and the scars, and marks they've left as reminders. Many of those "messages" have touched chords in my being that have brought me to tears because they feel familiar. I hope he doesn't change, or allow anyone, or anything to disrupt that which is flowing through him, for the sake of anyone else. He has a God given talent for words, sound and meaning. How anyone else receives those is not up to him, nor his responsibility. That is up to the individual receiving them.

I'm not sire what branch, when you served or where, but us war vets came home to people spitting on us, kids who watched their friends die and killed, broken and no one was there, so mental health issues, drugs or whatever is common and nothing to be ashamed of, not having issues with what we've been through would be more concerning , it means your human. There is a video of Upchurch 5yrs ago talking about people hating on Tom and says Tom comes out ahead because of it, because their hate got him click's. I figured that out before Knox said that. LOL the boy is SCARED in hip hop world. there's nothing political he can say towards upchurch to diss him. upchurch schooled him. 3-0. The only people who say this is a response don't have any clue what the fuk hip hop is or only listen to tom mcdonald or is bias. cuz everyone was sad and mad blaming this on "clout chasing" so now that you found out it's not "clout chasing" then now it's "oh tom doesn't need to do anything" cuz all his fucking non hip hop fans are braindead when it comes to hip hop. YOU LOSE YOUR POSITION WHEN YOU DON'T respond. even eminem still puts his entire reputation on the line to battle these dudes. he doesn't have to but that's why eminem is the goat. that's why even tom and adam praise eminem. because he does that. tom can't do that. his fans can't get over the fact he lost 3 rap battles (no contest, no show) if khabig called out connor and connor opt out 3 times...then come back and fights everyone but khabib...what does that tell you? exactly. you tom macdonald fans need to accept hip hop to judge his decisions because or just shut up and talk about politics because hip hop has a culture that battle rap is where you are humbled. it's the UFC, the underground fighting ring, the ultimate street fight. Tom is doing the ronda rousey WWE after the headkick. she got kicked out with. avoiding reality. Immortal Technique is the first person to start this political crap but he went worldwide and made an album spanish/ english even. his shit was world politics mixed with on ground repetition of experience with actual warriors and emcees with skills where you had to battle even on the spot, too. or people wouldn't even take you serious. now you can just let people talk so much that people will forget it. nah, not in hip hop. (i type 120wpm (per 3 minute) this took legitimate ten minutes. someone needs to explain hip hop to people since this is a hip hop channel, supposedly.

Your breakdowns help me truly understand how great of a rapper Tom truly is. You are amazing at your breakdowns. Tom is my favorite artist and I know he gives props to Nova because she has helped navigate so much of the rap game and the videos are always a 10/10. Nova is also the GOAT!!!

And once again.. Tom leaves it on a grateful note.. a shout out to the fans. Honestly i tend to not like his more " ego driven" like Dont Look Down.. the aggression is a nail on a chalkboard.. But this one... It was different. It was ego..but reminded me of a friend of mine.. who says things to inspire but calls out anyones excuses and b.s at the same time. No failure unless you make excuses or quit.

I do not like much rap or hip hop music, being a metalhead at heart, but this song is one of the few I can stomach these days from new songs being released, it is real, raw and from the heart! Heed Tom's advice people, it is legit!! I am independent and do not have the time with a full time job, small business plus doing my band stuff to do much else but I still do it, I am still a nobody nowhere doing nothing because of the machine, but I will not give up! My music is on all streaming apps if you wanna check it out. I play the instruments, record them myself, edit, mix, master then upload and the rest alone. I have had a few past bandmates I auditioned in several of the songs but overall I am the one doing the bulk of the heavy lifting even when I have others in my band. Tom's telling the truth when they stopped allowing anyone to see the Billboard charts - after his song 'FACTS' came out!!! lol

The family portrait is sort of a slam to Upchurch too. He doesn't have the family like Tom does. Ryan had to sue his own mother when she was stealing from him.
@rebel__9998 ай бұрын
Met his mom. She’s fake as anything. And him and his band. The band is way better to talk with than him. And that squeaky voice girlfriend of his (couldn’t stand her voice!) should just be quiet so no one has to hear that noise.

@@rebel__999Hey youuuuu! Agreed lol

Isn't it sad though? I know, too well, how it messes with you when family is your worst enemy, when the people you should be able to trust more than anyone else, are the ones stabbing you in the back. Combine that stress with some recreational indulgences and it can't help but implode. Unfortunately, when you're an artist, or celebrity of any sort, the inevitable disaster becomes public info and entertainment. Don't get me wrong. I love Tom and am disappointed in Church. But, I can understand the situation. Pray for intervention and recovery of sanity for Ryan.
