Headphones do not want to be surround sound systems. There are pro and cons for both. Owning both I rarely use my sound system anymore. If you care for your roommates, S.O., neighbors, etc a good pair of headphones is a blessing to all. Yes, it lacks the bass of a Subwoofer. You enjoy it even more when you are able to blast one in the car, cinema or when you are alone at home :)
