His art is born strictly from consumerism for consumers. Before you tell me about "aren't you a consumer?" In a sense, we all are. But to me, Hypebeast is the poster consumer beyond people wanting to dress nice, eat well, live comfortably. Hypebeast's ID comes from the things they consume. The type to love Tom and the Nikes he's behind, no substantial thought given to any of it. Asians love this shit and will consume all of it without a thought. That's why Tom is in South Korea, he's banking on all of you. I am not going to lie, I liked Tom before I saw this video. Is that Bruno Mars playing at the show, wtf. I thought there would be something deeper to Tom's oeuvre.
