Japan Society was happy to have artist Tom Sachs for a special "nodate" tea ceremony inside the landmark building. Arriving with his own portable tea ceremony set, Sachs pays homage to Japanese culture while also upending traditionally codified rules and rituals.
Special guests include tea master Yoshihiro Terazono, and Jenny Dixon and Dakin Hart of the Noguchi Museum.
Tom Sachs: Tea Ceremony ran from March 23, 2016 - July 24, 2016 at the Noguchi Museum.
