This cartoon rightfully belongs to Jay Ward Productions and Classic Media. I did not create it.

Wish these cartoons were still being shown. No violence nor bad language. Just good clean fun

ABC didn't think so, in the '90s. They didn't like the Baron hittin' Clutcher, with the wrench.

I never saw this cartoon before but this episode was hilarious. It sounds and looks like a Jay Ward production. I laughed during the whole episode especially when they pan to the crowd. Thanks for posting.

Yes, Jay Ward was the producer for George of the Jungle (series). This was Tom Slick 1 of 3 cartoons in the series. Super Chicken and George of the Jungle were the other 2 cartoons.

Stephen Holloway Thanks for letting me know. I wonder why I never saw it when I was younger. Unless, it was on one of those channels that didn't come in so well with our antenna.

A plastic trophy and a dollar fifty in loose change? Sounds like a worthy prize to me! Sure, even in the 60s you probably spend more in gas just running the race but still, plastic trophy! And of course the title of champion.

For a racer like Tom Slick, it's more that he participated for the sake of racing, not necessarily the prize in this case.

@@HolyCross9 Exactly what I figured. He's the sort of guy who'd race even if there was literally no prize, or if the prize was a swift kick in the rear or something (though I imagine in such a case, despite his best efforts he'd manage to _lose_ to Baron Otto Matic).

Probably like Tom a music lover. Since Gertie can't sing.

Do you mean "crowd" or "fans"?

I was referring to the crowd in the racing stadium stands.
