This was riveting. Take that Steve! Seems like a really good bot for such an interactive game that balances complexity and simulation well.

My thoughts exactly. It has exactly what I look for in a solo-bot. It lets me play the game like normal, AND maintaining his stuff is dead simple. One of my favorite solo bots I've played recently.

Based on your final thoughts, you can always house rule and draw a new tile blind for Steve that you only reveal after phase 1. That way it creates an element of surprise making it a little harder to plan. It's what I will be doing to add an element of surprise from Steve.

That's true! I think the only "butt" there is how that works with the market. Like, I think the idea is that if you want the top tile, you need to try to go before Steve so you can get it. But I suppose if Steve beats you then you could just discard that one and blind-draw the next one for him....?

I am looking for a game that plays well solo, coop , and vs all 3. Any suggestions?

Let’s see.... Orleans is the first one that comes to mind.... I freaking love that game I’m so many ways... and it plays all three of those modes so awesomely. Another one would be Detective: City of Angels (if you like those kinds of solve-the-mystery detective-like games.)

It looks like Steve is part of the base game rather than being an expansion element. Personally, I would have tried shutting Steve out of technology more by denying him the tech upgrade in round 3 (and pushing him to more expensive phones) and would have thrown cubes at investing in additional tech research in earlier rounds, but I'm not sure how that would have played out - I can see myself ending the game with a clean sweep of the patents but way behind on points due to not having sold enough phones in the meantime... If there were any rules errors you missed, so did I.

Oh! I see! My kickstarter stuff all came in the same box... and Steve had its own rulebook..... so I wasn't sure. And I can definitely see why you'd use your strategy! I like that there are a few different paths to go down.

Were you able to fit both boards in the box? I have to leave a board home depending on who is playing.

Yup! Everything seriously fits like a glove. Lid totally flush. No joke.... this is one of my favorite storage solutions. Even just the player boxes make me happy... and I know that’s so weird to say about one’s own creation. But... like... I create crap to make my own life happier. This one happened to work. 😂

@@TomTeachesGames wow. This box was one that amazed me. I'll wait for your solution to all the Spirit Island content...and then all 5 of Aeon's End sets and expansions 😅

😂😂😂 I really could look at spirit island. I just figured that it’s insert was pretty serviceable.... I just have to store it horizontally. And seriously.... I need SOMETHING for Aeon’s end......
