When you fail a skill check at 1:25 you don’t lose your training point. So when you rolled a bone for your defense you could have just increased your DEX.

Really?!? How did I miss that rule?!? That misunderstanding I’ve had has haunted me SO many times - especially since I’m such a crap roller.... I’m gonna have to dive back into the rule book and figure out how I misread that. Thanks for pointing it out!

I really enjoy your playthroughs. Yes, you don't have much luck in the dice department, a bit like me. Just started watching your next video now.

Thank you so much! Sorry I’m slow on the reply - the holidays sure had me busy! And seriously, I should not be allowed to roll any dice during cooperative games... last night my rolls KILLED us over and over during our game of TIME Stories (Lumen Fidei).

Probably doesn't matter, but 1:36 the orc should have only gotten 3 attack dice because the buff to +1 Atk was for ranged only

@@TomTeachesGames FYI - just watched the video now and didn't see an annotation about the orc rolling an extra attack die since he is melee

Just played for the first time. In the very first battle, Patches got knocked out in the first round before his turn ever came up, leading to eventual disaster for everyone. 10/10 would recommend

That is so awesome!! I’m so excited for my kickstarter version of Undertow to come in so I have an excuse to get this game back out.... it has been too too long....

at 2:19:30 , you didn’t read the whole thing. on the upper option, you would have only had to fight 2x5 point baddies and then 1x5 and 1x1 because it said fight 2x5 points baddies, then do BQ: baddie points (but subtract 8 from the total) which would be 14-8=6 so you made it much harder on yourself by doing the lower option and fighting a 23 point fight

You are totally right! Sometimes, when I'm on camera, I inadvertently skip over stuff.... thank you for pointing that out! I am a pro at making things harder on myself then I need to..... But I appreciate you helping me out with that one.

So I'm gettign this game for Christmas and watching this in prep. I haven't read the rulebook yet. For the encounters that give you choices, are you supposed to read the possible results on the back before making a decision?
@TomTeachesGames6 жыл бұрын
Yay!!! This game is very cool. I really want to hear how your first game(s) go! And yeah, in this game you also read the consequences... if you really wanted to try to keep it more thematic you could avoid that, but for strategy it’s best to know the possible consequences, and that’s how the rules tell you to play.

Newb question: why do the characters start with 4 training points? I thought you only get 2 from the first special encounter

I probably should have. I was likely worried about being attacked and trying to put up some shields.... lots and lots of good choices to make in this game which is why I love this game so much!

Just learned about this game last night literally and I really like it,where do I buy it at ,I heard u can only get it online?no shop sells this?im gonna look on Craig’s list and see what’s up with this,I also need some advice folks cause I’ve never ever been into or even played any of these kind of board games,I’ve always only played card games ccg and all ya know and online games,wow,or hearthstone or warhammer champs online card game etc. just recently months back got into a moba called realmwar (which is one of my favorite most played games online and I also play a builder game called drop assault Horus heresy lords of war of the which I used to not like those kind of games neither but have finally grown fond of these kind of games after all (which I used to not like those either but now I love em,especially the ones that have cards in em,this comment here is referring to realmwar with the cards in it ,it’s the moba folks)I love keyforge and used to play Star Wars ccg back in the later nineties as well, a little magic here and there ya know,is this a lcg (living card game?) or a card game board game?somebody help cause this is all new to me,the reason I never liked the board games was because there limited and they have an end and I’ve always liked games like world of Warcraft that are open world and have no ending and are unending u know so getting use to this will be new to me folks but I’m really interested and actually I’m wondering whether I should get into gloomhaven or this(or both),what do you folks think cause I really do want to know big time thanks guys?Gloomhaven is huge with atleast 1700 cards or so,wow! Oh yea and does gloomhaven have or it is going to have any expansions? I know that too many bones does,undertow etc.plus maybe some other stuff that I learned about! let me know what’s up here with all this guys ,thank you very much!!!!
