Okay everyone, here is an update for Tom. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iH-Zq4mYnseDpdk We have been working with him to get him off the streets. Unfortunately, there are a ton of road blocks and all resources to get him a permanent place are backed up and have 2 year waiting lists. HUD applications are backed up as well. We are talking to the Phoenix Dream Center right now and coordinating with them the best possible choices for Tom. Here is the especially made GoFundMe for Tom if you would like to help. gofund.me/6c50ea57 Thank you God bless.

So sad that seniors have to live like Tom after all they've contributed. I'm in Western Canada and the largest city in my region is Calgary with about 1.3 million people. It's winter here now and temps are well below freezing, especially at night. I saw so many homeless people wandering the streets, trying to sleep next to the heating vents to keep warm. I saw an elderly woman sleeping in a parkade and I just started to cry. How can we let this happen ?

And yet, we won't bring them into our own homes.
@timmytwodogs2 жыл бұрын
@@HoneyHollowHomestead That is the sad reality. I grew up in kind of a hippie colony back in the '70s and we had all sorts of people just show up and crash for a few nights. They were on their own journey and I guess we were too. Have we become less compassionate ?

You haven't seen anything yet, wait until the next few years, the amount of elderly that are going to be tossed into the streets. They are thinning the herd!!.

this is the effects of a coordinated invasion, an undercounted census, and no border. Tens of millions of undocumented people inflating our property market and displace renters while not paying taxes. I personally have a DACA friend, he runs his own business but payes no taxes while making six figures and hiring other illegals to do the jobs. His workers would often do hard drugs before work. It's insane. He is now getting audited.

I went homeless age was 56. I called shelters. They said you don’t have kids? No bed for you. You’re not a man? No beds for women. I asked why nothing for single women? She told me I can go find any man and shack up with him, but men don’t have that option. That’s why men get beds in shelters. Lol That’s Oregon. I was in shock, being told to go ask men strangers to trade my body for a home.

@@CupsofColdWater __Thanks for replying. This is the first time I have seen a video from your site (I believe), and from a "newbie's perspective, it appeared that you were only providing a "word salad" without any concrete help or solutions. Glad to hear, that is not the case. Just a suggestion, it might be "nice" if you followed a similar format from the "Hope for Paws" organization. That would be where they scoop up homeless animals in distress, and then take them to a Veterinarian hospital, clean them up, provide medical care and finally find a forever-home for them. This is just MY opinion, but I think it would be really cool if in some of your videos (in "one take" as opposed to a sequence of vids) you could show how your organization did a similar thing for homeless people like Tom. You would show your organization taking him off the street; provide bathing facilities, a medical check-up, food, clothing and finally an actual "forever" home. Not only would that provide an even more positive public opinion of your organization, but it could give other people, organizations, towns, cities, counties, and states, a "blue-print" on how they themselves could do similar "good deeds" for our fellow humans in desperate need of care. Thank you.

Hey man, I do some homeless outreach just on my own, talking with strangers at parks in the bleakness of night. Please just see them as people. They don't want more. Nomadic peoples exist. These are the modern American nomads. Most tell me it takes about 10 days to accept nomadic reality. But when they get looked over like they aren't even human anymore. It is seemingly more than dehumanizing. One man told he would jump out infront of people to see if they notice him. Most people look away with the intent they won't feel guilted into action. This isn't exclusive to men, but they are by far hit the most. Many offer me more ardent truths than my friends. Some talk about killing other homeless just for being in their spots. All of them say, 'the worst people out are other homeless'. Deeming 'it's easier to sleep in the day because you have be aware at night'.They'll tell me stuff got stolen. They'll tell me they miss the genuine human interaction. They know they need help, but no one wants pity. Pity can be just as dehumanizing as avoidance. Some tell me they are getting gang stalked and/or do fentanyl/crack/meth. But the experiences they have been through is often unparalleled and builds a soul yearning for the Truth of God.
