He doesn't look good . He's throwing arm punches and very stiff . He was awesome before he lost his athleticism. Don't mean to be criteria of a legend but I believe it's the truth

The absolute best ever! Even here in his 40s, he's still faster then 95% of modern fighters! Prime RJJ beats anybody and everybody in a weight class above, below, or in the same one no matter past, present, or future!

I think that maybe the reason why he's been losing recently is because of his loss of footwork. He's still fast even at his age but he used to never get hit because of his footwork and the amount of well placed hits he had. Take away one and you can't do the other and his fighting style isn't near as effective. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it! I'm no boxing expert but I love watching the way he fights.

Thomas Harrison yes it's his movement and footwork in the ring. He's not as fast and mobile as he used to be , which was an essential aspect of his style ...no doubt he still has the hand speed and quickness. He still has very good boxing skills , but it's the physical aspect is what's in question.

there's nothing like the reverb from hitting classic hand must. hopefully the right person will read this and someone will come out with pads that have a strong "spine",a brace going down the forearm of the trainer,so as to keep the fighters punches strong but spare the trainers joints. The trainer would hold the "neck of the spine",pad is obviously the head. The pads in this video look like deflated balloons, shaped in a way that makes the punches loud

Its his reflexes he's still in good shape but dropping from heavyweight to 175 all at once killed him. He should've fought two fights at cruiserweight at a catch weight of 185 then one fight at 178/80 then try going back to 175

i like roy a lot and he's in my top5 of all time but he should hang it up and become a trainer to share his knowledge. still pretty fast for a 46yo man, but his chin/brain can not afford more knockouts
