Accurate mod. -0.146s on the pole lap is probably what it would've been IRL if Lewis didn't get the snaps of oversteer on the couple final turns in Lewis' lap.

Top speed is too fast. Also, cornering is too slow for the mod. The internal data of this mod shows that the physics are not up to regulation.

I enjoy the new format because the performance hierarchy of the cars isn't always the same if we use all the 3 compounds, at least not on every track. It's easier to get surprises with this new format.

changing conditions destroys any prospect of 1 lap quali. a knockout style quali however, where 2 drivers go out at the same time and set one lap against one another does exactly what you're asking for there and could make for an incredible final 3/4 drivers battling at once.

Today's quali, as have many others, shown that track evolution is so significant that a one shot quali would be completely unfair. Current format is the best format if you actually consider everything.

Is the field getting closer? Yeah sort of, we all are getting baited in qualifying cus RB focuses on the race, I don't think they make a single compromise in their setup, I think they just try to set up the car the best they can for the race and just go for it in qualy, and also their car is better on the race not only because of the way they set it up but also due to it's characteristics

The Merc drivers probably would kill to actually drive a car as stable as that game car. The W14 is crazy this weekend, it looked handful from FP1 all the way to Q3. Crazy cars makes for a good watch though, that pole is quite exciting to see.
