There is nothing ailing Tomac. The sport is at a very highly competitive right now. When you get off the bike for any amount of time due to injury or other reasons, you can’t expect the rider to be where they were at, right off the bat.

I think Star is hiding the fact something was wrong with that bike setup. Cause he raced that same bike last year. He hardly had any time on it and came to the 1st race dominating everyone. Also the 2nd race. He was also good on the prior Yamaha that was new to him then as well. So they already know what works for him and that bike. That bike and spinning out a lot after so many laps running with Sexton and Jett. He was all over Jett trying to get around. Then after a bit that bike didn’t act the same.

The amount of people making excuses for Eli or refusing to believe that it wasn't a mechanical failure is just ridiculous. We watched him fall apart at indy last year when he wasn't comfortable. It's not like he hasn't done this before. The only difference now is the pace is faster and the field is deeper. So when he does flounder in races he's going to drop back faster.

No he had a stiff, sore neck last year, and that was straight from Tomac himself. An actual physical problem going on that day, further proving that this doesn't just happen without a legit problem. Yamaha is clearly covering the fact their bike failed in the main. Everyone speaking on it but Tomac, that says it all
@seanhaberman4619

@@daltonturner3113 Yeah Yamaha doesn't have anything to cover up. They have 2 other bikes on the 450 grid with zero issues and a half dozen 250s with no problems either. Eli isn't the same as he was before the injury and it's very clear. When he's not feeling it he's not going for it. The team would be much better off saying he had a mechanical issue or set up problem like every other team does when their rider struggles. Eli is having problems. You're going to see him struggle more throughout the season. It just is what it is.

I'm not a racer just ride for fun and enjoy the sport. If it is arm pump how do you fix it? I don't recall the Yamaha Tomac getting arm pump before. You'd think after A1 when he got arm pump they'd addressed the issue and fixed things or you'd think that between A1 and Detroit he would have gotten arm pump again. At A2 he finished 5th, 7th (seems low) and 1st for 2nd overall. The 1st in the 3rd Main leads me to believe he still has what it takes to win. Any riders out there...does this sound like a legit reason? Could you tell by his riding he had arm pump?

Here is my Tomac conspiracy. If Tomac does well and Beats Jett he will never get the fans back. ESPECIALLY shushing everyone and again feeding into acting like a spoiled brat. If Tomac can push Jett he will wad it up and hurt himself. Maybe not even finish the season. If Tomac can come back from that injury and beat Jett all of what people say is just bs hype. TOMAC beat him at 80 percent and made him crash trying to catch him. THE FALL OF TOMAC AND COVER UP MEANS THE CERTAIN RISE OF JETT AND HIS LEGACY WILL BE RAMMED DOWN YOUR THROAT.

Eli is off the Pace. And we all know why. Its gonna be a long year for the Champ. He just not a 100% maybe never will be again. Thats life. It happens to everyone. Even Beast mode ET3

or...he is 100%, but 100% at (e.g.) 35 isn't the same as 100% at 25. 😁

Funny he was "on Pace" the first6/7 laps then started to slow from .2 seconds to 1 to 2 seconds per lap. So the speed was there, something happened.

Like the guy, but it's time to call it. 😢 everybody wants to go out on top, but nobody does. Why? Because when they are on top, they still think it will last. The only way to tell when it's over is poor results. O, you might have a good moto here and there, but the guy was great, made a million, now have fun with the wife and kids. Better to have been a has been then to be like me...a never been. Father time gets us all.

Oh pleaseeeeeeeeeee. Eli is as good if not better than he's ever been and he's better than Anderson and Barcia who are the same age as Eli but for some odd reason nobody ever says those two who also have families and children should retire despite always having results far worse than Tomac .

I think Eli is mentally done with all of this. I think he just wants to ride without the stress of a championship

If you think Eli came back not thinking he was a serious threat to the chip think again . Eli doesn't race to for 2nd place , he knows he's unbeatable when he's on.
