What bothers me about the penalty to Anderson and Lawrence is that Supercross IMMEDIATELY started monetizing it. I saw it posted on their facebook and instagram reels. If you are not going to condone, or you issue fines to accost riders from doing it, you shouldn't be giving it air time. I think it warranted a warning, but no fine.

the liability for that alone makes it a terrible idea. but it also risks taking both/either of the riders out with injury. seriously bad take in the 21st century. although if it bankrupts Feld and MX Sports can get control of both series, that would be a net win, imo.

I was so confused as to why Jett acted the way he did. He got the last laugh. Gained the position and did it in a manner that showed “hey man, I’m tired of being behind you, so I’m gonna move you” imo all the talking was done on the track. Wasn’t necessary to pull Anderson over and start a conflict when it seemed settled on the track. Nobody hit the ground, nobody got hurt. But I think Jetts ego took a hit. In MX he wasn’t put in a position where he had to charge the pack. This is the big dog class and you’re not gonna talk down on experienced veterans, let alone grab their helmet without getting put in your place. Dumb situation, dumb fines. Let the riders settle it on the track and move on. I saw dirtier racecraft in the James/chad era with less infractions

At this point in the race, Eli wasn’t going to gain any positions by riding the race leader hard. I jumped to conclusions the first time b/c JA is known to get feisty. Agree on Chase as well, but at the end of the day, he should have pulled up rather than just going wide. Still, it wasn't a big deal points wise. And Webb still made out pretty well in the points. I think the Jett thing was more of an issue. (his overreaction not Ando blocking him in a 1-line track; after all, they were fighting for 4th on the lead lap, and it wasn't taking anyone out).

I watched this on a 100" screen; the JA & JL drone cam show the lines DON'T come together unless you want them to, there are two inside lines and that one outside line. I actually love how Jett himself has more grace than his fans right now over this, Jett handled his mistakes afterward. Good on him not to make enemies for the rest of the season. He knew he let the emotions from racing get to him and got worked up over nothing but hard racing by both. He instigated the debacle calling JA over and yelling at him. He wouldn’t let it go and then escalated it by grabbing Jason’s helmet as Ando pulled away and then got the big retaliation from JA. That’s it plain and simple watch both angles and it shows. Noone is cancelling either of them and noone is gonna take this to the grave with them. Jett realizes what happened in the heat of the moment and issues an apology because they both have a whole year of racing eachother to do. Noone wants a target on their back especially from someone like Anderson or Barcia who are both masters at blocking and taking eachother out, just watch 450 sx last year before they stopped the grudge match. Both JA and Jett had it out and squashed the beef afterward so it’s done and it’s been resolved. Even as a moto fan for over 20 years and a New Mexican who’s been a fan of JA21 since he was still riding the same tracks I went to I don’t hate Jett at all lol. Especially the way he handled the resolution after he calmed down and heard it from his dad. El Hombre is a vet that just wants respect just like anyone else off the track. Here’s a good example did Cooper Webb try to start shit with Anderson after their battle back and forth at A1 NO because it’s racing you fight hard for every position so there is nothing to fight about afterward we move on. Noone hit the dirt so nothing to consider. This isn’t the end of the world Jett fans, we ride again next weekend and the way I see it there is no grudge that needs to be had between us Team Fried guys and Jettsons.

JA didnt start the helmet grabbing but JA is definitely pushing against Jetts helmet twisting his head at first with his "Point." That just kicked off 3 more levels of escalation from both.

What we actually need is statements from the riders involved to shed some light on what it was about...... Doing that reduces the conjecture of what it was exactly about and as fans we can pick a side if you like, also adds to the show?

Funny how people are ragging on Jett for confronting JA21 for doing something that Jett obviously thought little of, yet they’re quite happy to display the exact same attitude towards 18 for what they themselves perceive as not right🤔

I'm not sure why Jett was grumpy. It's racing. Unless you're a lapper, you're not gonna just let a guy by. There was next to no contact and Jett finally got the super clean block. If that was Bam Bam and Anderson, you know Anderson would have gone down cause he would have been fed a tire. Jett was fired up. Anderson did what guys do when someone is in your face. I only saw racing. Good racing from both guys. Have they all really gotten this soft? That battle would have ended with one guy picking his bike up back in the day... and no one would really be talking about it. Jett lost it, admitted he was wrong. He's a pretty sincere kid... and the last thing he wants is El Hombre to put the cross hairs on him. (In reality, gonna have to be pretty unique conditions for Anderson to have that chance again I think. Don't think him and Jett will be battling for position much this season)

I agree. I think AP just had the track figured out and Eli got behind him and was learning what Aaron was doing better. My best guess anyway. I’m behind a keyboard, not handlebars. 😂

Jett apolagized when he broke Folkners collarbone too, he just has to learn how to safely pass other riders, he sure don't want to tangle with JA, LOL !!! Cooper lost more then a half second, but its good he got mad, he will save that for fuel in the future, he rides better when mad. Its just not smart to get these guys mad, learn to pass, and learn to get out of the way, simple as that, or pay the price, and I'm not talking about a fine here.

The so called "different angle" wasn't even when sexton blocked webb. That was a different part of the race because Webb was in the bowl turn and sexton was inside when it happened. That footage was webb inside and sexton in the bowl turn. Two different parts of the race. Why would you purposely make it seem like that was two angles of the same race incident?

RE:Jett and Jason. Thanks for the angles. While Jett shows no overt aggression in his line I can see where Jason would be "WTF?" in the heat of the moment. The after race stuff was just Jett being entitled IMHO. How disappointing. Bet Dad put a foot up his arse for that one. Also IMHO no one needs to be fined just boys being boys. Agressive? Sure but no harm no foul. Not like Weston and Friese. That was great.

I think the ruts wouldn't be as bad if they made one tire pattern standard for the 450s. They have too much torque to run a mud paddle tire. Plus they detune them to make them rideable.
