Dave Ibrahim's ownership story is a classic example of Frank LoPreste (and Brian Kiyohara) taking care of the sportfishing fleet for the future. Dave's story has been repeated numerous times over the past 50 years and it has benefitted both the fishing public and the San Diego sport fishing industry well. Congratulations Dave, on ownership of the boat. Well done. It was a pleasure fishing with you years ago on the AA and we look forward to fishing with you on the Tomahawk.

Finally fished the Tomahawk last year with Dave after the selling and reselling of the boat. Dave and the crew were a total class act!!! So good that we chartered the boat for a 3 day on October 1 this year!

I fished with David twice on the Indy. He was a great deckhand on those trips and I'm sure will be a fine capt. I look forward to booking a trip on the Tomahawk with Dave as Capt.

@@cousinjim1 True. I’m kinda reading the mail and when water warms up a little I’m jumping on the first boat I can. Schoolies are ok but I want a 3 digit bft. I’ll hang as long as I can of course lol

@@user-jc4yv7eg7c the big ones are there I caught a 100 150 and handed off a 170 on the pacific dawn 1 month ago this trip over half the fish were triple digits I think they are just bigger this year

Jim that is a very fishy boat and they always have good numbers. The nice thing about new captains is they have something to prove so they work a lot harder to get you in fish and if it is delayed getting back because of a hot bite they will do it. That is why Mike from the pacific dawn and these new captains bring a lot of energy to the industry. My only retraction with the tomahawk is it is a very top heavy boat so it tends to sway a lot more in swells and wind than other low center of gravity boats.

How much do people tip the crew after a 1.5 or 2 day trip? Is there a standard?
@cousinjim111 күн бұрын
usually 10-25 %

I wish someone would make a sport boat that that can turn into a catamaran and go 30kts and then retract back to a v hull for fishing. 10mph is painful when you can’t get out much because of time.
