What a great drummer and person. I met him when they were touring for Koloss,and I was waiting in line when I saw him and his brother across the street going into a store. I waited until they came out and asked for an autograph. His tour bus was right there. He said,"I'll do u one better",& went to get me a pair of sticks and sign em...but the bus was locked! I told him,its ok dont worry. He then proceeded to take pictures with me,and was the coolest person.

@@colins7771 also,don't be jealous. If anything, you may feel bad for me because of what happened. I had all the photos we took together along w stuff from the show(aud&video),but i lost it as soon as i got a new phone because I couldn't remember what gmail address i had at the time,or its password, and ended up losing every single photo, along w good pics of my then 3 year old son.because every pic i had up until that time was saved in Google photos 😭

yeh he started in R LL R, like sorry, thomas, u start with R L RR L R LL, thats a paraddidle no? hes obviously a god of a drummer compared to me but I cant be like "just play a double stroke roll, R LL RR ....
@Bowl019864 жыл бұрын
@@Auron710 The actual pattern consists of five strokes: R LL RR, L RR LL. It's some form of five-a-diddle. But in 2020, I guess everything's called a Quarantine-a-diddle.
@WhirlwindDrums4 жыл бұрын
It's funny how his calls it a paradiddle when it really is a five stroke roll. What gets interesting though is the way he involves it with the kick and hi-hat.

Sweden doesn't have a very strong rudimental tradition, so forgive Tomas if his terminology is not correct. A standard paradiddle is always a standard paradiddle, but we also tend call almost any sticking pattern with a constant flow of notes " paradiddles". I know I'm guilty of this.
@antibulletdodger1017 жыл бұрын
What..? "we also tend call almost any sticking pattern with a constant flow of notes paradiddles". No "we" don´t, speak for yourself if you´re a beginner. I don´t know anybody who does that. A doudble stroke roll is a double stroke roll, a swiss triplet is a swiss triplet, a triple ratamacue a triple ratamacue. They´re not paradiddles.

The Grand Piano haha!

Damn..like no debate this guy is awesome, but this is going on a dvd? 1. Rllrr Lrrll is not a paradiddle (lol) 2. "add a bass drum before every accent" *adds a bass drum before and after every accent* 3. "I'll try to play it through to where it repeats" *adds an actual paradiddle on 4 so it lines up without any further syncopation* COME ON NOW TOMMY BOY YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT That being said, I played this exercise for like an hour before I got it down, and it's great. And hard. As fuck.
