Renanto Pratama Turned out to be Brown, Fultz ( AND Kyrie because that last picked was used in Kyrie trade) Smart was from Boston's picks. So yeah imagine the Nets with with Brown, Fultz and another top pick. They definitely lost that trade. The Nets were good for like 2 years, and they didn't even get past the second round
@NotOneToFly6 жыл бұрын
From the Celtics pov, we got Brown, Tatum, and Kyrie for 35+ year old KG and Pierce. And due to trading down for Tatum WE STILL HAVE A PICK. That trade was a top 5 worst of all time. Great for the Celts tho!

This video is like a mini representation of Jeff Green's strengths&weaknesses and Avery Bradley's strengths. Jeff Green can dribble in a straight line and attack but he forces it too often and makes very low IQ basketball plays. If a few of those fouls weren't called, Green would have been hurting his team. He doesn't make any shots for his teammates in this clip either. He does have a few nice straight-line drives and finishes and a corner 3, but he doesn't bring much else. If he gave up a few bad drives for a kick out pass to keep the offense moving, he'd be so much more. Bradley was and is obviously a monster defender. The heart he has in this video is tremendous, both in terms of its physical stamina and willful tenacity. He did not really make shots for his teammates thru ball-handling, though, which he's much improved on now. He has a lot more things he can do off the dribble currently.

11 years later and this is still (unfortunately) the most memorable game of my life. Commentary throughout most of the 4th quarter is burned in my head LMAO. Lifelong Celtics fan, if there was just 1 damn thing I could change in Celtics history (recent) it'd be that we pulled off this game. {Obviously Len Bias probably #1 but I wasn't alive yet} I'll always be upset we didn't have Rajon Rondo for the final hurrah, but it may have been for the best, if we had a good playoff push we likely don't trade KG / Pierce / Terry, we might've run it back one more time. Hell with the way Rondo was playing before that ACL tear its far fetched but maybe we manage to win a title you never know, playoff Rondo was always nuts. But, Boston finally winning a title this year with players selected directly through picks they had from trading KG / Pierce, makes it a little sweet. It brings me right back to this game seeing them finally raise banner 18. The big 3 deserved another ring and if it weren't for injuries they'd have likely got it. 2009 KG hurt, Magic didn't belong in the finals, Boston did. 2010, lakers struggled in the paint before Perkins was hurt... if he didn't get hurt Boston likely wins game 7. Both KG & Pierce hurt in 2011 playoffs, Ray Allen hurt all of 2012 was not him self in the 2012 playoffs... and then 2013 the last time together and they lose Rondo who was playing out of his freaking mind before that injury dud was Russel Westbrook before Russel Westbrook... a lot of let downs and heartache with that unit, their agreement to be traded landed Boston Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum and 11 LONGG years later, those guys are who finally brought Boston #18 🔥

Obviously not all games are the same, there's variables both ways so you can't judge a whole team or league based off one game but idk for sure. Maybe it was usually like this but I highly doubt it. Most likely the Celtics didn't average that low scoring but you still probably wouldn't have a game like that today. This also wasn't too long ago either so the defense wasn't so much better at that point.
@kenoocampo38334 жыл бұрын

I wasn’t about to watch the big 3’s last game in Boston sitting down. A guy (Celtics “fan”) behind me grabs my shoulders and slams me into my seat unexpectedly. We have a few choice words back and forth. Five minutes later the Celtics start the run and the place is going wild!!! Not a single person sitting down. During a NY timeout the guy apologized. This was barely over 5 years ago why’re you talking like it was the good ol days? 😂
@x2good4ux515 жыл бұрын
Johnny Tancredi Hey dumbass, 5 years is a HUGE difference from today’s league. There were no defensive switches, u didn’t see fucking centers guarding point guards. U ever watch the 90s kid?? Teams would score 75-90 range all the time, not like 110-125 range like it is now. Last time in Boston for KG Pierce and Doc. The Nets went for Paul and KG because they thought they needed more toughness after losing to the Derrick Rose less Bulls in Game 7 on their home floor. That was the sole purpose of that trade. Didn't work out for them though.
