Fab shredder Lawrence, I don’t have one so I lay stuff out on the lawn and chop with the gas mower with the bag. Some fab tomatoes 🍅 there too. The garlic will take a long time do you not worry about not having the greenhouse space until late June? Great update Lawrence have super week, Ali ☔️🇨🇦

Hi Ali, they usually ripen up around May in the greenhouse. Also, I plant them out just in front of where the tomatoes go. They don't seem to mind being near each other for a month or so. The other option is to grow them in pots. 😊 the shreader used to be my grandads you can see "Made in West Germany" written on it. I think its finest days are in the past, but it still works enough to justify me keeping it. I have also done a similar technique to you with the lawnmower. My lawnmower broke a week or so ago. Luckily, I got the "final cut" in.

@myrustygarden you're not wrong Ali, generally I always prefer and old tool to a new one. I have an indestructible shovel that cost me £2.50
