Rewatching this again because I wanna play it again, but my laptop is packed up right now. Gonna spoil some stuff below as I gush about this game real quick. This game captures humans so well. All the beautiful things, all the gross things, all the sad things. The little connections and side things that aren't really important to the story, and some players will never see; like Sandy making private, unlisted pages to people to brighten their day (such as to the biker guy, after he lost his wife. or to Corey, after she sees he's being bullied). The little girl who won the Squishers art contest but will never know, because her parents took away her HypnOS headset because they're super religious and think Squishers are Satanic. The slow deterioration of Tim and Tiff's friendship. Tiff being mercilessly hit on by Tim, Corey, and Zane (with various levels of grossness) while all she wants is a friend. Abby, who most streamers shit on for struggling so hard against the Gooper take downs, when it's all she has anymore. She outlived her husband and daughter and straight up says she 'lives' through her students. So no wonder she becomes militant when their art is struck down by DMCA dipshit police. Hypnospace is one of the best-written games ever made.

Yes the game may not look as good and be as existential and beautiful. But hypnospace isn’t outer wilds. It’s it’s own thing. It’s good because it lets you explore on your own and find and discover a mystery much like Outer Wilds.
