It's using the original code with some enhancements and modern rendering techniques, rather than being a 1 to 1 remake.

It uses the source code of the original games IIRC. One of the guys who worked on OpenLara worked on the remaster as well, so they're really familiar on how the game actually works originally. This is a game remaster in the truest sense, the "skeleton" (source code) of the original game under a new appearance (which is funnily enough what Sony does with their AAA games under the guise of a "remake") rather than a remake.

Don't know if this counts or is already well known but I've been using it since 97 - At offshore rig when you exit the cell, you don't have to wait for the enemy to shoot the glass to reach the plane area you can just stand up against the glass and roll, you'll end up on the other side with the glass intact.

One of my proudest gaming moments was finding the corner bug on my own and getting on top of Lara's home in TR3. The first thing I did was check if was still in the remasters. Fun fact: There was a glitchy texture on Lara's home in TR3 where one corner of the square had a water texture and the rest of it was bright red. They fixed it for the remastered graphics but kept it in the OG graphics.

I can’t believe some of this stuff like the metal fence wasn’t well thought out by the developers. Figured they would’ve just made the fence one solid wall of geometry and not actually have gaps inside of it.

There is a glitch in which if you run and roll through a glass wall or a fence in Barkhang Monastery, you can clip through it. This allows you skip the trapdoor under the statue and drain the water in the reservoir earlier. I think it only works if the wall/fence is on the edge of a step and you're on the lower end (you can't roll back from the upper end)
