Video idea.... Go over your boat layout. Where you store things, rod holder placement, imaging screens and such and the reason why you have them the way they are. Might help people get more organized.

How big of fish finder can you put in your lockable electronics locker? 12" or 15" or two of either?

In most smaller lakes I fish I don’t think color changes much but on Erie it’s day to day and sometimes the most important factor.

Tom - I'm constantly amazed at the number of eater size walleye you manage to catch. About 90% of what I catch is in the 20-24" slot -- Which is an awesome testament to the quality of fish in the lake.

It's lake to lake up hear. Good to see alot of eaters. Northern wisco doesn't have a lot of lakes with a ton of big fish.

When pulling spinners along a weedline: in order to stay on the weedline is the TM following a contour on the Lakemaster map?
@willfredregill90644 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tom, great stuff. Do you use those plastic quick change clevises so you can switch out the spinner blades quickly if you notice that one particular color / config is working well? I also noticed that you are using Colorado blades - are there times when you would use Indianas or Willows over the Colorados, and if so, why? Also, how big of a deal are the beads - number of beads, color, size, etc?

Would also like to hear a little about boat control when trolling, especially when following the weedlines - do you use "Follow the Contour", iTracks, etc? Are you using the electric, the kicker, or both? Also, how important is having a kicker these days given the capes of the electrics? In my case (Merc 115, no kicker, 18.5' aluminum boat) I either have to pull a couple small drift socks to slow it down to the 1.2 mph range, which sucks, or run the electric and drain the batteries down....

Do you ever set the hook on spinner rigs? I feel like for the past many many years of running lindy's I always give the fish a second or 2 when they hit and then set the hook. But it looks like you don't really need to? They appear to hook themselves?

Do you run live crawlers on the spinners, or do you ever run plastics on spinners? I’ve been experimenting with gulp etc. with little success, wondering if I should go back to real crawlers.

Thanks for another great teaching presentation. May have missed it, but I don't remember hearing you state what trolling speed you were using during the video. As I recall, you generally will not say it during most of your videos. I believe that you should always state your trolling speed at least several times in your video presentations.
