A friend and me are currently working on a little Java programm that's basically heartstone so that we can try out custom cards and their effects on it and having an Ai that plays diffrent based on difficulty is actually kind of tough. Afterall the basic idea and how hearthstones real AI works aswell is letting it check all the possible plays and doing a calculation based on a postive/ negative effect scale to then let it choose the biggest positive effect overall. I believe multiple difficultys like the diffrent hearth fights mostly work by letting it always do the second most postive effect, so basically going easy on you, but I'm not so sure. If that's the case though, it would very often play negative effects like it did in older adventures though, which it doesn't nowadays anymore. So they must have actually found a way for the difficultys that's alot better, which is interesting. Maybe just always letting it pass whenever the overall second best play would be negative? Who knows.

Even... Trump got so far only because he luckily burned Corrupted Blood. I got Death to 21 HP on my first playthrough by duplicating few Anub'Araks and milling him in second phase with Reborn Octosari and shuffling Ruaway Gyrocopters but Corrupted Blood killed me in the end. Then I got 2 Gnomebliterators and +10 spell damage scroll to finish him off. :P

Personally i think they have kind of meh synergy. Would have been more interesting if Finley was Paladin + Priest and Elise was Druid + Shaman. They fit better as combinations i think both Lore and mechanics wise.

She's actually not bad in the first couple Chapters though, she just sucks really bad for the actual Chapter that she gets introduced in. I managed to win the chapter on my 2nd attempt with her but that's was just because i got insanely lucky. She does have imo one of the strongest starting treasures in the game so far though with that 3 mana 3/6 psychic scream on legs. All her hero power's kind of suck though.

A good tip for final boss. Let corrupting blood deal the phase transition damage so it gets added to the NEW deck after they are swapped. Then you just worry about staying alive instead of killing him.

I beat the heroic plague of death first try using a card steal build with Elise, and using Lyra with cheap spells is a good way to generate value. I used the crawling claw to steal tons of cards by using reborn on them more than once. And rezzing things with the scarab baubl thing that brings back your first 4 dead minions, mine were Lyra, crawling claw, emperor thaurissan, and one other. And you can do it twice. Stealing his plague of deaths and nzoth's really helps in the late game.

Just found a new hilarious Elise combo. Just get her Jr Navigator, the Insights deck + Inner fire from a loot bucket with either Kadgars Scrying Orb which appears in Chapter 3 or pack mule from any Tavern. You can infinitely chain PW: Shields to draw your entire deck then Inner fire to otk. Divine Spireits also work too obviously but it's much harder to get them down to 0 mana.

I used Hakkar + Azmodan to beat the first 2 stages on heroic. He resummoned hakkar in the second and third stage and I got a Rin from the crystals. Then 2 more Rins using a N'zoth I somehow stole from him or something. So I got to use Azmodon to destroy his deck during the first 2 stages. Unfortunately in the third stage he got a full deck reset and removed like 9 corrupted bloods and I messed up somehow and had 2 corrupted bloods in my deck so I had to stay at 10 cards a turn to not accidentally get more. My life total was too low at this point due to weapon usage and I didn't have time to get the third Azmodan down. Finished it on the next run. Note to self: divine favor doesn't work too well against the bosses when you always have more cards than them if only barely.

Bob's effects are truly OP on certain cards. In the Dalaran Heist, where he can reduce the cost of spells or make a random card free, you can get a Sound The Bells which echoes for 0. Or in other words, infinite buffs against anyone except the secret mage.

Bit of a nitpick considering how well that run went, but on the final boss when you were saying Anubarak value > all, wasn't it possible to sacrifice your Sylvanas to steal his, then use the "new" Sylvanas to steal Anub'arak afterwards instead of the multiple coin-flip path that was chosen? It would have fallen apart pretty quickly if he hero powered Sylvanas and stole yours for free.

Why play Token Elise when Malygos Velen Starseeker Elise Exists. those 12 Damage Moonfires Generated by Casting 2 Spells add up to quite a bit of Damage. Plus the VIP Membership Tresure is crazy good if you haven't seen it, gives you 4 Extra Gold in each Tavern and summon 7 Minions on both sides. plus some options are unique to the Upgraded Tavern or maybe that's just becuase you get more cards in the VIP Membership Tavern
