In this video Kara is attempting to send the Zut Alors jump trail at Bikepark Wales...
Kara is a complete MTB beginner but she is progressing so fast and for me teaching her its been really rewarding seeing her progress to this level as hitting your first gap jump on an MTB is something we all remember!
We started on the basics and progressed through beginner MTB tricks, learnt how to ride corners, hills and common bike park features including tabletop jumps and drop off's then eventually riding gap jump however in this video Kara pushing her limits & overcoming fear to complete the Black trail.
In this video Kara is using her Haibike LYKE 11 & I am using my Haibike ALLMTN 10.

Well done. It's all in the berms. I noticed, well, it looked in the video, almost as if you were fighting the bike, especially in the apex. Bike body separate. Lean forward a little more, inside elbow out and lean the bike whilst keeping your body slightly more vertical. You'll feel the bike push into the dirt. 1. You could "snap" the berm now, with a pump. 2. You'll have more control of a slip, meaning more confidence. Cheers,

Tom, if you could teach Kara how to ‘pop’ off a lip it would open up a lot more for her. If she’s struggling for speed in the turns then being able to pop will get her over gaps she’s currently casing. Good progression though!

Hey Tom, how many motors have you been through on the electric mtbs? My neighbor said he heard from specialized that it isn't uncommon to go through up to 8 motors in a year. That's why I was wondering if it was worth it or if you knew of an emtb who's motors don't go out?

She need to learn to pop/bunnyhop at the end of the jump, u can see she is so stiff in the air, like the bike have control over her, and not the other way... But good progress
