The Cackle Cars starting at 20:38... I can assure you the drive shafts are not removed. Those cars don't have a drive shaft, just a splined couple that mates the transmission to the differential. Not quite sure how they would be able to disable them, but they are being towed likely because there is no cooling system on those cars. As for disabling, maybe they remove one of the mating pieces of the coupler. Cool Vid :)

That Model A snow mobile is a 31. Tall radiator with black insets top and bottom. 30 is all nickel,29 is a short radiator. Just sayin'. Great video, loved it.

I’ve seen one of those old ford pickups that you like so much but it had a blown big block with about 1500HP and could do wheelies lol

Did you ever hit Rock Falls this year 🤔 Great video & that PT Cruiser is insane 👍

I did not get out to Rock Falls this year. It is really hard for me to shoot they kind of videos I want over there, so that kind of frustrates me.

@@tomeighty So is WIR or GLD your home area 🤔Amazing to see the traveling these racers do as many of the cars here come to Rock Falls for the Gasser Weekend 👍

@@cjbecker1683 WIR is my home track but they only run cars on Friday and Saturday's, and not every weekend. So I travel to get more content.

The small coupe bodied rails @ around 20:40 in is a Fiat Topolino, like the one Frank Pedregon from the mid to late 60’s. We saw that car at San Fernando drag strip. Cruz and Tony were in diapers then.

The wheelie cars are cool, but I can't figure out why they don't have some softer suspension up front with at least some travel.
@joshuagibson25202 күн бұрын
The red truck\van model was doing a reverse wheelie once he brought it back down. Very unstable.
@tomeighty2 күн бұрын
Yes that Old School VW Bus doing the Wheelie was way out of control, and those old vehicles that did Wheelies back then did not have a rear suspension at all to them. The sidewalls of the tires were the suspension, so if there was any bouncing around that would take care of it. And in the case of a huge bounce it would actually get the tires off of the ground. Dragsters actually have same rear suspension set up in them, that's partially why they have such tall tires.
@stevenreyes36802 күн бұрын
The black 1950 Studebaker slammed to the ground gave me goosebumps. Sort of reminds me of my 1951 Henry J I drove to high school in 1969.

Yeah, as an official old fart, I grew up with these cars. Fremont Drag Strip was 20 minutes away from home. We had an AMC Ambassador Station Wagon with a 390 CID. It would tow our trailer during the day and burn rubber at night. My first car was an AMC AMX 390 4 speed. I had that for 40 years. I will be dead in the next 15 years so you go out and keep finding these rare gems. Todays cars are cool. But speed by Tech is not the same. There was an old saying that there was no replacement for Cubic Inch Displacement except Cubic Bucks... I guess that's still true today. God bless and Jesus is still Lord of Lords and King of King. Happy New Year 👍

Nice video, but it seems a lot of this was out before. I guess because I'm a Ford guy and was looking, but seventies Cyclones and Mon-tee-gos were on my radar. So yeah, I remember seeing them as a kid.

The Fierro is still JUNK. As far as muscle cars are concerned, I've own a lot of them & yes, they were out & about ripping up the roads every day. Cops were very busy. Best car I've ever owned was a 1966 GTO that had a 428 H.O. massaged with a 4 speed & 410:1 posi 12 bolt rear. No power accessories & at 60m.p.h. I got 19-21 m.p.g. depending on what brand of 100 octane was in the tank. Mostly AVGAS all the time. Pays to have friends at the airport. I really miss those cars. Had the big Chryslers & Mercs & a few Coupe DeVilles. I wish I had them all back. The big 2 door coupes were the most comfortable & the Chryslers handled damn good for a 22 foot boat.
