Fantastic composition! I like very much your style, I can hear lots of inspiration from the great masters' such as Mahler for example... Also from Thomas Bergensen ;) I also love this style of composition, very much! You are really talented, congratulations from my heart!

I hear so many glimpses of composers you like and have shared with us in the past. There is a hint of Danny Elfman in it, I spot some Miaskovsky here and there, some John Williams flourishes sprinkled in for good measure.

Indeed, the music I post on this channel is often the music which inspires me the most! :D

Very good work . It deserves a live orchestra presentation ! Is endeed a programatic music piece like Debussy 's '' La Mer '' . Very good choice of orchestration Thomas . Must present this to people live ! My greetings from Greece .

This is very good!!! You should try and get a real orchestra to play it. I can imagine this as a film score!!!

Enjoyed this quite a lot, cool advanced harmony in here, but not overly exaggerated. Good maintaining of lines. Most important, it captures the feeling of th unforgiving sea. Kudos!

Inspired by La Mer, I assume.

There are many musical pieces about the sea. Not just "La mer". And it doesn't sound one bit like Debussy.

Here's a confession - I didn't write this piece knowing it was "about" the sea. The name only came after I had finished.

This is quite well-done, while it rests in that arena of late-romantic / filmic musical styles. All the encouragements to 'get this performed' should not, I hope, have you imagining a major professional orchestra would take this on as 'new classical.' music... it is for most of those outfits, simply too retro-replicative of music of a bygone era. This is very filmic, and depending upon if you can compose very fast, and in a number of genres, you might end up happy and with a lucrative career as a film composer.
