This is great! I know these songs, often badly recorded and hard to make out so they never inspired me until I hear you play them. Not only are you a great teacher you bring these songs to new life.

Tom, you're the most authentic, cleanest, most versatile, and bluesiest acoustic blues player around. You're the best acoustic blues guitar instructor on KZbin! Thanks for these lessons and keep up the great work!

Excellent playing Tom. I've been exploring open G for about a year, this was really helpful to get me out of my own box lol. You need more subscribers !

I have been playing in open G for quite a while, but you are an infinite resource when it comes to beautiful riffs, thanks.

Heard some stuff my dead Dad used to play...old time banjo and fiddle guy. Kinda hurts.

Excellent chops and feel, and also an impressive selection of guitars you're playing there Tom. How do you like the Waterloo WL-S Stella model? And are you playing a Fraulini or two?
@PlayCountryBlues Жыл бұрын
Waterloo WL-S Deluxe is the best ladder braced “replica” that I’ve played. Wished they make a Grand Concert size also. I did own a Fraulini years ago but the guitar with the F in this series is a Flammang N35

@@PlayCountryBlues thanks Tom, I've really been itching to get one of those Waterloo Stellas, but about 6 years ago, just before they came out with them, I got a WLK which is the Kel Croydon replica that they make, and then about a month after I got that one I found a deal I couldn't refuse on the hand-painted version, the Waterloo WLK Southwest, of which they apparently only made about 20 or 25. Turns out I actually like the painted one even better, but I've kept both of them and they're my main go-to guitars. I've always wanted one of Todd's Fraulinis, as they are so beautiful and sound out of this world, at least the examples I've encountered. But it's probably not going to happen. I'm just hoping perhaps I'll come across one of those WLS deluxe models like the one you're playing. I love the sound of that thing. :-) not to forget of course that what you're doing on all of those guitars is just over the top in terms of clarity and accuracy. Unfortunately I am coming to the end of my playing days it appears, but one still entertains one's wishes and fantasies, and watching you play gets me fired up again. Thanks Tom!
