Fantastic episode. Great seeing a real deep dive into Ambition. Seeing his relationship with the other emotions, he is less hostile to Joy than Fear, Sadness or Love. Fun seeing the 30-in-30 clips, which means if you appeared in those clips you're now part of the GCU canon! And great to see Blood Demon still hanging with the Steelers Fan, can't wait for the North Saga!

Tom, you've outdone yourself again. Every time that the line between fiction and reality gets crossed is the time that you reach new heights with your writing. It's interesting that, even after all these years, the theme of Coach has stayed consistent, and even the most sloppy points of the series are making concrete impacts after all this time. You always write your best, and even when hindsight makes your best look like your worst, you still find ways to make it matter.

EDIT: Turns out according to Tom, this episode mostly takes place in Green Bay. Which honestly makes more sense with the scene at the end with Lambeau Field. Wait, does this episode take place in the haunted hotel in New Orleans? Nice touch, what with Ambition being 'haunted' by visions of his fellow emotions. Man, it must've taken a BUNCH of planning, setup, and camera angles to make it all look plausibly like the hotel. Kudos to you.

This a fantastic episode. The story is insanely good, easy to keep up with, unlike other series I watch where things are consistently being retconned with no real explanation, this is much different, it's a concrete story that takes it's time to explain things.

I'm currently in Season 3 of the series, I started with Season 5 not knowing what it was and was compelled to start at the beginning. A line from an Imagine Dragons is how characters in Coach view Junior: "I want to shelter you, I want to hide the truth, but with the beast inside there's no where we can hide."

This episode reminds me of The Love last season -- Tom and Tohm are two sides of the same coin like Ambition and the blood demon are, and Tom talked openly about his feelings to Tohm, like Ambition does to the blood demon here.

I'll have to watch the other episodes now to see what exactly I'm looking at, but it reminds me of a scifi show: The main (good) character has had enough of playing 'by the rules' and violates his own sense of morality to win at all costs. It's only when the people he swore to protect turns to fight him as the greater evil that he realizes his own ambition has gone too far.

Great episode and all but is this all there's an existential crisis for tom. Burnout, does he really feel this way. If so my man take a break next off-season or what have you. We dont want to see you "die". But this has been the best episode next when *SPOILERS FOR WEST SAGA* papa cardinal died. Keep up the good work. But please dont "die". Let the camera be your eyes, not a film construct. Give yourself permission to willingly suspend disbelief.
