A lot of people are mad that it was the Undertaker instead of Steve Austin, here is why it makes sense in 2 statements: 1. Cant have a wrestlemania without the Dead Man, he joined the HOF before Wrestlemania 38, during Wrestlemania 39 he said he wished he was their fighting that he misses it. 2. His debut match was against Dusty Rhodes, who never got to win a championship, and he greatly respects him even going as far as calling him the goat on the mic. So helping his son win a championship is special to him.

Taker made way more sense than Austin as far as all of the helpers of Cody having beef with ROMAN. Austin has nothing to do with this just because the Rock is involved. Yeh nothing like seeing a bunch of people watching it through their phones rather just being fully in the moment like the crowds back in the day.

"That glass is gonna break" That's the only thing that would have gotten a bigger response but the lights going out was a bigger surprise

WWE loves to troll fans and swerve their expectations and I love it, lmao. They knew full well what they were doing with that beatdown segment on RAW, where Austin and Cena were on the truck in the background. But as a huge Undertaker fan for 25 years, this was even better, imo. And he's the only human on earth who could show up in that ring with over 70k people thinking the glass is about to shatter, and *NOT* get booed.
@RolfeSenpai2 ай бұрын
@@brandonowen9881 I’m pretty sure Austin was the planned guy for that spot, but maybe he wasn’t available for whatever reason. Still, I agree that Taker was the only acceptable replacement in that situation, even if it didn’t make the most sense storyline-wise.

@@travelmemoirs101 Not really. The logic was: Jay stops Jimmy (brother rivalry); Cena stops Solo (gets his revenge from SummerSlam); Rock stops Cena (former top rivalry of the PG era); Austin stops Rock (former top rivalry of the Attitude Era).

Last time i actively touched something wrestling related was like in 2007 or 08 when my friends and i played WWE on the PS3 and where hyped af about it even though we could rarely watch it in Germany so ofc you naturally lose interest growing older. When i randomly heard in a gaming podcast that the Undertaker, The Rock and my absolute favourite John Cena were in this video i had to click it and it was worth it. This was hype af and gave me goose bumps hearing and seeing all those hyped faces of grown ups.
