The fact this trend keeps happening is bad for the NFL. Teams are paying top tier money for mid level QBs, Trevor has done nothing to live up to being the next Andrew Luck as he was hyped to be, and nothing he has done has shown he deserves this amount of money. He had one playoff comeback win against a team that was poorly coached and the only reason they came back from 27 points. Trevor is living off that comeback win.

I think it is gonna be like people with video games where they will complain about the quality and microtransactions but still buy the games....for a while. Until they start becoming reluctant to put money down on anything even if it looks good. I think in the NFL that will take the form of being lower risk and/or higher quality to take a lower quality but stable QB at a lower price point rather than continuing to gamble and losing on could-be stars. (Of course, proven winners will still get paid but the number in that population will be like a half dozen or so guys)
