I currently live in Nigeria and I work in the healthcare sector. What that man said in his video is no longer the reality in Nigeria. How much does a consultant psychiatrist currently earn in Nigeria? The taxes are as high like those in Western countries now. He should stop living in bubbles.

Do what works for you is the mantra. I can speak to both sides of the conversation based on my experiences, but I don't give a straight advice since life goals differs. Life is tough everywhere these days, I can't believe how tough it is in Canada of today. It is sweet if you have a second passport and a "war chest" because you will realized then that sitting down abroad is a waste of time!

Thank you Tomi, as someone who’s in the process of coming to Canada, if all goes well I will stick to my reasons of relocating

Canada is expensive. If you’re not making at least $8k a month with kids, you’re going to struggle
@witty448Ай бұрын
Truth!
@wale3739Ай бұрын
Even the $8k being enough is dependent on other factors.

The working system in Nigeria will include tax too… compulsory taxation
@kaysmellsgoodАй бұрын
They have to increase min wage and salaries too to tax heavily like abroad.. how much tax can they remove from someone earning 50k monthly that is managing to survive.
@wale3739Ай бұрын
@@kaysmellsgood the new tax bill, when passed, will exclude anyone earning less than N1M/pa from paying income tax. And VAT is being removed from the basic necessities.

You are earning well in Africa, what about security, cost of living, peace, light, infrastructures to mention but a few

Tomi abeg this your logic no jig, not everyone relocates bcos of money, it’s all about security, the rate at which things are going, our children will not be able to get visas to the western world easily. Leaving Africa especially nigeria gives you the freedom to travel to other countries without having issues

Reacting to your topic, it is very sensitive, not everyone coming abroad for money, abroad has been like dis since, over 24 yrs now and d pple u and I met was complaining, life is not static, some just want to explore. Some come for financial, if i tell u y i want to come abroad u will laugh at me not for money.some pple will think u are discouraging them. Peace

It’s very very sensitive to be honest. For me it is deeper than just relocating because everyone is. The system might shake you but it will end well by God’s grace

I'm interested in relocating with my children as their dad is not interested. Will it be easy coming with two toddlers to Canada

It won't be easy, relocation is tough but if you have the right mindset and a decent amount of money you can do it.

This is same case for my sister, is your husband supporting the move? If he is then it’s fine as he can be sending money, but then again the exchange rate 😢 my sis husband is not supporting at all if she decides to move with her children she’s on her own. But I’m on the opinion that her husband might eventually come around and accept her decision.
