Hi Richard - Thoroughly enjoyed this update. The loco I am having problems with was purchased second hand just for the chassis, which ran well when I first got it months ago. Recently ran it on my test track and it was making an awful clicking noise. It is a class 31 Diesel 31601 Bletchle Park Fragonset Railways No 371-100. I took the body off with no problems and managed to pull one wheel section off the chassis. Dont think it is damaged, but that's when I stopped tinkering at the moment. The body is going to be replaced with a 3D copy of a Southern Railways CC1 'Booster' which I have two of from Gosport Railworks and the detail is fantastic. Would love to see you take a Class 31 apart for a service and if possible fit it for running on DCC. Regards Chris

It does say made in China, and if you mean split chassis, guessing you mean length ways then yes Richard.

The Tomix thomas is apparently scaled to TT scale Cuz it’s too big for n scale and to small for 00 . So it’s been rumoured it was scaled to be TT but the driving wheel spacing of N Maybe get one and try modifying them wheels and the couplers to fit TT . It could work

And the order they run is in as follows Thomas up front facing foward . Then Annie second . The name is on the side of her . She also faces foward her face behind the bunker of Thomas And clarabel at the back facing backwards and away from the train . She travels backwards so if you were to be on the rails you will see clarabel facing away from the train if you will Make sence ?
