You look so cute today! Not that you don't every day! I made the Monte dress and will be remaking it into something else! I just do not like seeing myself in a dress anymore. Plus, I didn't notice the fake pockets being so low on the top portion when I did just the top! Will redo the dress into a top and recut the fronts and facings to shorten. All is not lost! Will make a Cielo top out of the bottom portion. I love that top on me. Leaving for Vegas for my daughters wedding this week, so my machine can have a little rest! Always enjoy your makes!

Your animal print will look amazing in the fall and winter with your leather boots a bright orange red Genely and your camel blazer (I'm sure you made one! lol) The floral one, wear it with your white collared blouse crossed over with a belt on the outside and heals in a bright colour to match a flower in the skirt! Ava's skirt looked like a hi-low skirt, I wouldn't worry about the dropping unless it looks really bad, for now it looks like it's suppose to be like that! lol

I always enjoy your channel and will eagerly await your zipper tutorial. I’ve watched videos and read articles but have yet to find even one that deals with the excess zipper tape above the stop. I know I’m not supposed to just cut the excess off but have never learned the rules /guidelines for folding it out of way nicely. The tape is invariably stiffer than my garment fabrics, and usually the top of the zipper is at the neck or waist, where there is already extra stiffness from collar and waistband interfacing. I fervently hope you’ll include this information! And yes, I’m ,prepared to be embarrassed for having to ask such a basic question! Thanks.
@TomKatStitchery3 жыл бұрын
I agree that this is often brushed over. I feel like most zipper tutorials just show you how to insert with scrap fabrics as the “garment”. My plan is to actually make a garment with the zipper so you can see how to finish things off as well!

What brand of watch are you wearing, and is it also a phone?
@TomKatStitchery3 жыл бұрын
It’s an Apple Watch and I can answer my phone on it. However, I don’t have a cell plan that includes the watch so my phone has to be somewhat close for me to be able to answer or talk on it. It’s great for around the house because my phone can be on another floor of the house and I can answer from my watch if I know I won’t make it to the phone!

I had this pattern a couple of years ago and made the A line skirt, there was a problem with the pattern being too short by a 2-3 inches on one side. I am writing this so that others measure the sides of the A line skirt before cutting to make sure this problem has been resolved. Happy sewing everyone.
@TomKatStitchery3 жыл бұрын
Oh! That’s a bummer! I will say, that she did redraft the entire pattern and added some tweaks so hopefully this isn’t an issue now!

YES zippers. I am so not good at them. I end up hand picking them in - which is functional, and does look good - but for goodness sakes. I've been sewing well over 40 years, you'd think I could put in a zipper and have it look nice.
