Not a super fan of matchy matchy, however, there has been more than one time in my life where I look in the closet and say to myself, 'sure wish I had the top or bottom to go with this'. I think having about 5 sets in the wardrobe would really be a good thing, a bit more put together. Thanks for your take on it. Maybe some day you could show us your shoe collection. You've got some nice ones!

Katrina, you are amazing! I love your videos, they are fast moving and always informative. Have to say, I love to see your extra finishes on solids. Seeing you do topstitching on your seams to keep them open looks great. I was a bit confused why you overlocked the side seams before zig zagging, as knit doesn't fray, but think you did it more for a clean finish? I am here waiting for the time zine to flip over to friday in USA so I can buy this and just realized it was last weeks special! LOL Oh well - you win some , you lose some! xx
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
I cannot leave raw seams inside. I know knits don’t fray. I wanted the seams open and pressed flat because my fabrics were heavy and this finish is less bulky. I don’t want to serge both edges together.

Love everything ❤

Thank you for the video, may ask how you created the side slit on the pencil skirt. My daughter wants a skirt like that with a side split
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
I just eyeballed it on the side and cut the piece separately, adding the seam allowance. You can create a full front extended piece, so you don't cut it on the fold and then it's easier.
@judykski2 жыл бұрын
I was just wondering if that is a Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow bush in the background of your video. I once had a small potted version of this plant on my patio and loved the flowers that were white the first day, lavender the next and purple on the last day of blooming on the bush.

YAY I love everything you do. You are so kind to share knowledge with others. Oh, I got the pattern using your link and I used the code. $4.50 YAY! I know you have several of these done, BUT have you thought about doing one with Linen and Rayon? I was wondering if xtra ease was added. I won't be able to start this till next year cataract surgery :::sigh:::
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
This pattern will not work with rayon or linen or any other woven. Sizing up won’t work either. For woven skirts, you need darts and a zipper to get into the skirt. A whole different draft. This one is just for knits.

Good luck with your surgery!
