Oh! It has taken me a couple days to watch this. We traveled 10 hours on Sunday from Virginia to Florida. Needless to say we were wiped out. Thank goodness the unpacking is done. I’ve almost got my sewing place done & hopefully will start sewing tomorrow. So excited I got my Verilux light and I will be able to sew day or night. Enjoying my grandchildren ages 4 and 2. Ooh Whitney you are the "wicked one.....'' making me spend my money... again... ( I still love you though...LOL). I bought three of the Love Notions patterns today and one is the Oakley vest and I didn't know that included in the pattern is a vest made from faux fur. I bought some beautiful faux fur last year from Spotlight with a lining to make a vest and I do have the Butterick patterns for one but I prefer the Love Notions so I will make that one... I ordered the See You At Six (with the animals on it ) today too, that French Terry is just a dream to sew and I also ordered the brushed waffle for another Sibiu top. I didn't realize you could change the shirring on the Ballad to gathers or micro pintucks! GAME CHANGER!!! Not a fan of shirring, I think it was my childhood filled with shirred sundresses and tube tops leaving horizontal stripes all over my torso along with this body not needing anything that sucks up against it! lol So yes, the Ballad would be my choice of patterns! I love these kinds of videos so helpful in picking new ones that you really didn't think of before!

I'm definitely not the target audience for your channel, considering that we have different styles and entirely different body types (I'm petite, slim and Asian... so it's mostly self-drafting and SBAs for me). But watching your videos feels a bit like working at a fabric store and chatting with one of the regulars, it's so chill :) (also, your itch to stitch reviews/sewalongs are So Helpful because 1. knits scare me for some reason 2. she's one of the few whose sizing would work for me. i'm working up to doing a Kathryn eventually!)

I’m new to PDF patterns but have already bought about 6 of the Love Notions patterns. I made the classic tee with a V neck first and am really happy with it. I think the Tessa sheath is the next one I need to get. I hadn’t liked the line drawings but the picture of the striped one you made has changed my mind for me.
