Over here I know a couple of farmers that had tracks on tractors, only once, trade them in then back to tyres. To replace tracks is ridiculously expensive.

Why does the drive pulley/wheel on these tracks have an alloy wheel appearance about them? Eg. The top pulley/wheel on the Ideal at 7:16. And the rear pulley/wheel on the Claas at 1:21

Why would you use a big tracked tractor like that over a wheeled one? Avoid compaction on soft ground as it spreads the weight?
