I recently subscribed and have been watching your channel and appreciate the no bs reviews and your entertaining enthusiasm as well as deep knowledge of the hobby! I recently just got into the hobby after purchasing a barbie hot wheels RC bronco for my daughter, while playing with my 3 year old daughter and us both having a blast I decided to look into more serious RC trucks and came across your channel. Today I just decided to purchase an Arrma granite grom as my first hobby grade RC and WOW! Me and my daughter had a blast bashing with it today! My daughter and I really love all the donuts, jumps, and flips that little Arrma is capable of! The best rc of all time is on the floor behind you: the Team Associated RC10 T, stadium truck. Running mine with my buddy, full power near the end of a straitaway hit head on with his nitro version. Bent the nose/bumper section, no damage to chassis, and cracked one rear lower a arm mount. That was all. Super tough, easy to drive and maintain, tons of aftermarket upgrades, and a good looking truck, still.😅

I totally agree with your 2024 truck of the year choice! To me the 4s Mojave is an amazing value and performing truck! I’m super glad you stay true to your word and don’t care what everyone else thinks! After saying that however, I don’t see how anyone can argue for anything else! Even the runner up trucks were awesome!

Excellent video! Bought a couple tickets for that mojave! Your praise is high marks in my book because you aren't loyal to any one brand. I've not purchased any of the big name brand rc's yet, save for Tamiya, because the cheaper brands offer similar experiences, but you can upgrade the hell out of them with the money you'll save from a big name rig! But that Arrma Mojave, it seems like a true winner. It gets high praises from anybody i've seen a review from, so far... 4s is a sweet spot, too. Tons of power and fun, not $1000+ to get going! Excellent video, I really liked this one. It's the question we all ask this time of year! Keep up the amazing, unbiased work!

Back a couple months ago I was able to order a 6s Mojave for $475 before tax from my local hobby shop! It quickly became my favorite truck to drive, and thats saying something considering my collection of "big" trucks that you could compare it to consists of a Kraton EXB, Maxx Slash (added the wide max kit and steel axle upgrade), Sledge and I guess I should include the Rlaarlo MK007 even though it has a different purpose.

Love these videos and the honest reviews. Last year I bought the udirc VW beetle and it's been the RC I reach for the most. This year, I was waiting for an excuse to pick up that Rlaarlo rally car and/or the Mohave as they've come down in price. @TomleyRC are you doing an advent calendar this year? I’m finding all these awesome channels after I killed my dream hobby within the first 45 mins. Went out and bought an arrma granite on cyber Monday from a local hobby shop. For my first ever RC truck I was super happy until I hit a rock and went into a pole and snapped the front right wheel part thing. Devastated to say the least because I was going out to make friends in the morning at an RC meet up. Can’t make this stuff up man.

Ahh yes, the 10 wheels Beast, so incredible (and probably a huge frustration for you 😢). For sure, that Mojave looks and performs very nice. Due to the lack of off-road "venue", my car of the year is the Losi Nascar 1/12 . I'm not into RTR, but this one impressed me, obviously by the look and then by the handling; I had huge fun with it. Of course a brushless version would be the icing on the cake, maybe in 2025 😅 Take care 🤝

That big Cross RC was a big pain in the ass, but it does look awesome when it is running. The Snap On car was out of left field, and looks good. But the markup on it being the most over priced tool brand and over priced RC brand make it a hard pill to get.

The Traxxas dominance is over. It used to be that everyone, including other RC manufacturers, waited for Traxxas to come up with new innovations, which other companies would then copy. But the tides have turned. The new generation of RC enthusiasts is leaning more toward Arrma. You can tell that Traxxas is now the one trying to catch up with Horizon. This year, they even surprised the market by offering massive discounts on their vehicles, extended until the end of December. Traxxas never used to do this and rarely, if ever, discounted their products.

Flops wltoys😢....I can see why some people would pass on these but you're correct about them being great for getting people into rc BUT it depends on what car they choose. I just got my family into rc's and having to buy so many cars wltoys was really the only option. We got four of the 124017's and a single 124019. Got the 124017's for the older people and the 124019 for youngest. We have been racing the heck out of them in the back yard and only repair they've needed was just poping linkage arms back on after some cartwheels. Because we got so many of the same cars we bought some spare body's for the other wltoys 1:12scale cars so we could change up the body's and spoilers so they are all different from each other. This all being said I want to get myself a much larger car next for myself but for family racing the wltoys 124017's and 124019 have been really good. 124017 brushless and faster = easier to upgrade electricity 124019 brushed slightly slower = harder to upgrade electricity Throttle trim for beginners...both cars have it but both cars trimmed all the way down the 124019 can go slower(mainly good to know for beginners)

even tho the maverick q2 is good they suck in sand because they don't have rubber sealed bearings and after 4 runs there where 4 bearing seized because they where full of sand. going to getting rubber sealed bearings for it at the end of the month

haha, can't fix it for you I'm afraid. I try to do them for 2 weeks where possible, rather than dragging them out for days on end. And mix it up with free ones and limited numbers. At the end of the day, it generates a good amount of income... raises money for charity & gives the opportunity to win an awesome price for a few quid
