Great idea pairing Jimmy with Bob! This really showcases how vibrant the Miata community is from OG to the new generation of enthusiasts. Jimmy got to share his genuine passion and knowledge about Miata history with an absolute legend. With that community theme in mind, I would have really loved to see some interaction with the owners of these custom Miatas. A brief inset shot where each owner got to introduce their car after the cover came off, and list the key custom features would have felt more personal. Maybe Bob could also pick the car he liked the best and the owner gets a "Bob approved" award.

Cool video, and I'm glad for the connection that Jimmy was able to bring Bob in for this. I learned the hard way that Miata is the answer, when I passed on one for a classic MGB. The Miata is the update of that roadster, and it shows in every way. I also don't think any other car has been quite as beloved as the Miata, and modified in as many ways, except for maybe the VW Beetle. Bob's outlook seems to match with VWs, where he's just happy to see a car that he worked on, bring so much joy to owners.

Jimmy, I got a close friend who has a v6 Miata with a 3l engine from a jaguar. If you’re going to make a Miata build you should consider this swap. It doubles the horsepower and torque, preserves the stock gearbox and adds 0 weight. Basically makes the Miata fast without ruining the characteristics of it. Also sounds like a friggin banshee
