I echo your feelings about the kids moving out - what do you do when you spent the last 20 or so years raising them, hearing their constant presence in the house, and seeing them every day? I do know that when the time comes, I'm going to try to look at it as an opportunity for my hubby and I to reconnect as a couple with only ourselves to focus on each day. Our lives have been defined as parents for so long that I think it will be time to get back to us and not always having to be responsible. Maybe buy that motorcycle I've always wanted and suit up in leather? :D The kids won't be surprised - my son and I have plans to skydive soon. And the kids know I'll be showing up at their places to visit if I don't hear from them often - use that threat, it should work. :D
