Most people think of depression as the deep sadness. They dont realize that there is a underlying rage about being helpless and feeling that nothing will every get better. This song exemplifies that rage. Edited: Damn I did not expect this comment to blow up. I appreciate you all taking time to understand what I took from this song. Depression is very real and sucks. If you are going through anything I hope you get through it. I hope you stay strong and beat it.

I feel like this song is a physical embodiment of how it feels to live with depression. At first you just talk about it. You try to express yourself with words only the people that are supposed to help you just tell you it’s a phase or you’re just going through a dark patch and it’ll be over soon. Then you start getting aggravated because it DOESNT stop. It keeps growing and growing and getting stronger and you are just completely drowning so you get a little louder, only no one around you helps. Everyone gives you the whole “god has a plan, he has a plan” and you can’t live with the fact that he could do this to you.Then you just snap. You break, you scream, you become the monster you believed you were the whole time, the one thing you were petrified of becoming and completely lose your shit (expressed by the physical change into the monster) and basically black out. When you come to, everything is ruined and you have no idea what you’ve just done and are horrified with yourself. This is so fucking powerful and will be something I’ll listen to religiously.

I love corey taylor and he is absoutely talented as well as ronnie is. They just have two different styles of "rap" if that makes sense. Both are talented in their own way. I can listen to the old school rap like Ice Cube. Doesn't mean I like it one bit but atleast it is better then what's on the radio today killing the future generations. Nowadays "artists" on the radio just add some beat to the computer and call it a day without knowing a thing about how to write music for an instrument or two. I played viola and piano in middle school and high school. Once I recover from my surgeries I want to take guitar lessons again. watching someone cry that you love hurts because you feel like you relate then they say your fine and that they are faking it you can see the sadness in her eyes , the shine in her eyes slowly start to dissapear and you feel like you can help but you really cant it sucks and then you realize you both have the same issue and also that is why she always go's to you because she relates and she comes to you looking dull in the eyes realizing she lost all courage and dreams and then you realize she is becoming like you so you try to help her but you realize you cant at all because she is like you Then one day she takes his life but you feel like the burden because you couldn't help her at all and you remember she use to put everyone first then you feel worst then you realize she would cry herself to sleep and also listen to the sad music,eat less, Then you want to take your life but you can't because she would be upset because you were the only one there for her. and you realize that little girl is you and the older you is watching over you that's just how it is . That is always how its been realizing you always wanted to be happy like everyone else and it was all a dream . Everyone thinks someone is OK i was someone who would make it so my friends not kill themselves but i can't even not think it myself. I have a bare face of sadness actually no i really don't have emotion anymore. Neglect, rape, parents leaving, friends dying, friends leaving, have no one now, realizing i lost someone like my sister and after a month my parents were fine but its like the forgot, But who am i to say i don't know anything only i have been going trough a "phase" for only 8 years you know. Sometimes i wish i could just scream at someone " I'm Not Okay" at all but whose to say. But one day i don't want anyone to have grief when i end up taking my own life. I have committed a lot of sins in my life and i know its not good and i have tried god but he didn't listen because I'm still like this and still have issues but i try so hard but now I'm starting to feel weak, More than i did when it started , i don't were shorts or short sleeves anymore but who cares again I'm just another person and i cant blame my cat because they don't look like cat scratches and i eat less but when I'm hungry i don't eat, I loose my appetite, i stay up late, and people think i have a great life because i life in a big house but its not like that at all. I feel like a burden, a mistake, I was misplaced here, I have to hold my pillow tighter and tighter every single night, My demons are starting to work more and more. I have daddy issues, i don't have a mom, rape, neglect,abuse,suicidal,demons,not good enough,depression,anxiety,PTSD,ADD,ADHD,etc. But i take to much air from people like people tell me I'm not something to be dwelled on at all. but i feel like I'm on the edge of a cliff. I tried fitting in, and fix it but it doesn't work and it sucks. I'm not a fighter at all. But this world sucks a lot. I had a best friend but i can't talk to him anymore much so i don't have anyone. But who knows I'm just here ,a person, a gazelle getting ready to be eaten by a lion and really big one and i fought it out as long as i could. Until that lion pounced and grabbed my neck and i was dead . Body pale and eyes open, tears , and breathless. in reality no one killed me i killed myself but at least i won't be a burden, or a mistake, I will be burning in the depth of Hell alone but I'm just another person, thing, Wild Animal, But this is how it is oh well can't do much. But thank you for anyone who does care. Thank You. I'm Nothing, Always have been nothing. I know i am a mistake you don't have to tell me so much and I'm a burden yes we get it but when i die you cant grieve and you can't say it is selfish, I want to die how i want to, is that really so much to ask honestly because i want to die. I'm selfish,stupid,dumb,retarded,dead inside, ugly etc. But i tried so hard to fit in this world but who knows? well its easy to tel when you are ready to die they say you see a light but what if you don't. I wish i was a snake so when i shed i can look a little different. Everyone has there person but what if i don't. My life is a book so i have to end it, My skin is like paper that why i cut it, and my face is just a mask over me so why can't i hide it, And my heart is like a door so i can lock it if i want to. No one knows what one person go's trough at all but we all assume. i tried to stop myself from crying, one day i started crying so much i couldn't cry anymore and didn't sleep at all. Maybe one day someone will under stand but for now no one does, You have no friends, your family is ..., your ugly, your depressed, your jumpy in your own house, life sucks a lot. the majority vote is that i kill myself so maybe i should so many people said i should. Then if i die i can burn in peace at least, but if i stay i will suffer more and more, i tried carrying on, But why? why should i, I want at least 5 reasons why i should stay honestly, is it to much? i don't think so. I'm just exhausted ha doctors always tell me lets go back to your past it's what causes the present and the future, but what if i don't have a future. I have so much self hate and its annoying. I can't even say i love you to my family at all. But then again every says I'm fine so " I'm fine than" fake it till i don't make it or do who knows. I’m sorry your life has been rough. I hope you can find some joy and peace. I’m a 57 year old grandma and I just heard this song a few days ago. Love it. My 22 year old daughter said, “you like this? It’s screaming!” I said yes I do I’ve always loved good music no matter the form. If it’s good your body knows it!! 🥳
@hannakinn3 жыл бұрын
@@brynns305 I agree about good music. I'm a very kind, quiet type person, very few people know I have a lot of inner rage and anger. Music in which people express their anger and frustrations has always been somewhat soothing and cathartic for me. I don't have to rage or feel the need to after hearing someone else do it. I'm an old rock hippie chick that loves hard rock and most metal, heavy metal, death metal, thrash metal, alternative etc. Good screaming is always great! I'm glad I'm open minded and willing to listen to new stuff. I'm so glad that I didn't get stuck only liking music from my youthful years forever like most of my friends and family did. I do still love, and always will love, some songs from the 60s and 70s but I also love music from every decade since then. I feel really fortunate to be able to have music in my life and to have such easy access to it now. I remember saving my babysitting money to go buy Beatles and Stones 45s, lol.

I love this song ,my daughter has lost her battle with addiction and mental issues . Every time I got in my truck sense this past Thursday (I mean every time) this song was playing on Octane , I feel someone was trying to let me know what had happened or why it happened. Thank Falling in Reverse for the song

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. This is a mysterious life that we live. I have conquered most all of my addictions the ones that can kill me at least. Your daughter is at peace now. I will pray now for your peace. Stay strong. Anyone who cares to discuss issues along these lines can feel free to call me at 317-991-6905. I am bryan!

So many people just don’t understand depression. I’m very rarely sad but I’m always angry. Angry that I’m incapable of being genuinely happy on my own. Everything makes me angry. It’s one of the only emotions I’m able to feel anymore.

My daughter tried and almost succeeded. Believe it or not I had an intuition that something was wrong. I can’t explain why or how I knew. I was at work and called my wife and said where’s our daughter. She said in her room. I said go check on her now! My wife was like why? I said go now! My daughter had double locked her door, placed blankets all over, she then proceeded to take dozens of pills and slit her wrists and then fillet the skin up her arms. My wife burst the door open in time to find her and call 911. My unexplained intuition saved my daughter. I am so terribly sorry that your daughter left this planet. She is in the cosmos without a care in this big vast universe. Watching and knowing she’s still thought of daily. She makes her presence known in ways that only you can feel or see. It’s an amazing thing. She may be gone in her physical form but her light lives on forever! Wow! Forever!

I'm always like 8 years late to an amazing band. People say you love the era you grew up in most, but I have to admit Falling In Reverse is some of the best metal I've ever heard and demolishes most the bands I listened to growing up. Ya I still love the old bands, but I have to admit, this is a new level.
