The weather looks like it’s been doing you good, that pill regiment is a tough road to hoe just keep getting out every day and try eating anti inflammatory foods. Just do your best….we all appreciate the weekly posts. Stay well and make the best of a bad situation. 👍💪

Hey thanks GC. I'm good. Every day I'm so grateful to wake up and get going. I'm just readjusting a wee bit to a slower pace of life. Many thanks for your kind words of encouragement.

Tom, our entire Summer condensed into that week😊 You are definitely seizing your 'second chance' at life doing all you do - including pushing that pram around the Castlereagh Hills👍 It sounds like taking life a wee bit slower is a good way to do things. I am a firm believer in your attitude playing a big part in how things turn out👍 Continue to take care.

Thanks Gerry! Yes such a good week! Life is always very busy for us. I'm always trying to rise to meet the challenge of a new day! lol I'm so grateful for my multiple second chances! I've had one really bad motorbike crash, a recent cancer scare and the heart attack all behind me and I'm still here on the go from 7 am every morning but doing it all a bit slower. I agree a positive attitude is so important as is a loving family to encourage and the strength a solid faith gives. You take care and continue enjoying climbing those hills. I'm afraid my hill walking days are gone. Any gradient above a wee hill is beyond me now. lol Best wishes Tom

Those tablet names are a nightmare Tom, i think Asprin was the easy one,LOL, nowadays when i have an appointment and they ask you to bring a list of your medication i always take a prescription chitty, its a rum job this getting older at nearly 80 I'm on between 8 and 10 a day, those tablet boxes are a must when you have so many to take i do a refill every Sunday, anyway you are right when you say stay positive and keep active (thank goodness for the garden) the weather here today is awful so unable to do anything outside, so I'm on bathroom and toilet cleaning duties, oh and the cooker, so i would think your on hoovering duties, LOL,but it's a great way to keep moving on bad weather days rather than just sitting around. Anyway Tom, your looking fine and like you say just take your time, and if you can get that afternoon kip for just half an hour every day I'm sure you will find a difference, make every day count.

Yes Chris I do the same thing! lol I'm on full house hooverig on Saturday mornings. lol And I'm roped into any number of other wee jobs that need doing. Yes, an afternoon kip is a real bonus. But then it rarely happens on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday when we have the grandchildren! lol

So many people suffering because of the state of the NHS, at the emergency end it's usually fantastic. Unfortunately when you've waited nearly 6 years for treatment and spent thousands on private consultants I don't really have an awful to of positive things to say about the NHS in Northern Ireland.

We are got through my heart attack because emergency heart surgery is still ongoing and functioning well. I'm afraid much of the rest is not good at all. Deserving people are being ignored. I could go on about needy people being let down for years by long waiting times etc We got through recently because we have private health care and we paid up front for things like my hip replacement a few years back. The way people, who paid for national insurance all their lives, are being treated now is dreadful. People trying to phone to even get a doctors appointment and having to wait weeks........ So wrong and shocking!
