I am truly grateful for Pastor Doug who I am sure would have been a great influence on non practicing Catholics and helped bring them back to the fullness of the Catholic faith through his immense knowledge and teachings of the Scriptures. For me, it was Scott Hahn's "Supper of the Lamb" that got me more on fire for receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Almighty God, bless all Protestant Pastors with a yearning to learn the fullness of the Christian faith in its entirety, Amen.

All that Father has said shows that the body of Christ is one, when any part of the body is missing the whole body suffers. Protestants need us and we need them. We are children of divorced parents that love each other but can't live together. We can't eat at the same table. But I believe God is starting the long awaited and much needed reunion. That we will be one as Jesus prayed to the Father. 🙏

The Church was doing wrong at that time Charging money for indulgences.
@ddonovan29652 жыл бұрын
@@janettedavis6627 Yes the church is made up of sinners no doubt. A hospital for sinners one pope has said. But selling indulgences wasn't the official teaching of the church but error by some members...in one region, like what is happening now in Germany, meaning they seem to be sketchy on marriage. The church should have spoken out strongly against it but communications weren't as easy them. But a family, and it's members can disagree, but they can't change what's true. And it can break apart, not without a major fallout, hence the existence 20k + different Christian denominations. Once one a break happened, it hasn't stopped.
@chommie53502 жыл бұрын
Sorry but protestantism is heresy ....as to charging for indulgences ...probably true ...but isn't that what the protestant church is doing ? With tithes 😂.... hypocrites one and all .....the 10% rogues ....but seriously ....why Protestantism is heresy is because they don't believe in the true presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. And once again ....the hypocrites go against their SOLA SCRIPTURA: Mt 26:26-27; Mk 14:22,24; Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor 10:24-25 - “This is my Body…This is my Blood.” 1 Cor 5:7 - “Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us, therefore let us keep the feast” (i.e. the the Eucharist) 1 Cor 10:16 - eating Eucharist is participation or communion with the Body and Blood of Christ. 1 Cor 11:26-30 - unworthy eating is sinning against the Body and Blood of Christ Jn 6:52-58 - you must eat the Body and Blood of Jesus So let's not fool ourselves with all this Kumbaya nonsense and say that the Protestants are our brethren ...they not ....they make Jesus a liar because they deny Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist and they blaspheme the Holy mother of God ....Mary . Don't ever equate yourselves to them because you will be guilty of blasphemy too ......be careful open your eyes There is only one way to heaven .....THE CATHOLIC WAY .

I’ve entered many churches and temples in my numerous travels. When you go from a bizantine over decorated Italian church to an acetic German temple, you measure the divide. I love any lover of Christ and can we just live in peace? I do agree that any division will lead to sub- divisions . Today In Germany and elsewhere, secular teachings lead you to believe everything is ok so long as it is done with love… NOT ! We can kill for « love » and lust. … without central authority, there can be no control. There is no papacy of Islam and watch what that results that yields,,,,

I was educated pre Vatican11 in a Roman Catholic school in Ireland and we were taught other such as Protestant Churches, Evangelicals so on were called the Separated Brethren. The Church should abandon the saying No Salvation outside the Catholic Church.
@Erin-or4hw2 жыл бұрын
Hi Janette, I believe if My memory serves me right , I learned that the Catholic Church doesn’t say there is no salvation outside of church . It’s a misinterpretation. I would recommend listening to Catholic apologetics :) God bless you
@janettedavis66272 жыл бұрын
@@Erin-or4hw I agree its misinterpretation but, it has caused much division and hatred amongst Various religions. I still think the saying should be abandoned It is known that Catholics killed by Nazis and Communists were reminded only Catholics are saved . Many Catholics have no interest in Scripture and just follow so called apparitions that supposedly happened hundreds of years ago.
@janettedavis66272 жыл бұрын
@@Erin-or4hw Definitely the Church taught no SALVATION outside the Catholic Church but the word Catholic incorporated all Christians. It is not a Biblical saying. The Pope, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops and Priests are there to teach from Scripture. I lived in Ireland for almost 11 years and never saw a Bishop .
